The verdict in Maya's trial will likely be announced on February 4th. Therefore, we will gather on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Old Synagogue Square! Come in large numbers and bring your friends!!!! The demonstration is spontaneously organized, so we cannot offer a fixed security and awareness structure. Therefore, please take care and look out for each other. ---- Here is some more information about Maja's situation: ---- On the last day of the trial, the Hungarian public prosecutor again demanded the disproportionate prison sentence of 24 years in their closing arguments! According to them, this sentence is intended to serve as a deterrent for the "unprecedented series of attacks." Maja is accused by the prosecution of being involved in two of the five attacks. In the first incident, a video recording from a surveillance camera was presented, showing a person wearing a red hat, who is alleged to be Maja. This person did not commit any acts of violence in the video. The second accusation is based not on direct footage of the incident, but on videos from neighboring streets and statements from the victims, who could not clearly identify Maja. Likewise, the medical reports presented showed that the victims did not suffer any serious or life-threatening injuries. Nevertheless, the prosecution remains convinced that Maja is guilty. After 16 days of court hearings and more than 550 days of pre-trial detention under isolation conditions, the verdict against Maja is now to be delivered. The entire "proceedings" have demonstrated legal violations and human rights abuses from beginning to end.
While we are appalled, there is no question of surprise. The trial of Maja has repeatedly shown the repression to which anti-fascists are subjected in Hungary and that the proceedings are a show trial. The aim is to defame anti-fascism as terrorism, while the Hungarian state gives Nazis and fascists free rein!

We are furious. We say stop the criminalization of antifascists and demand Maja's immediate return to Germany.

Review - Free Maja Demo February 4th
Yesterday, we took to the streets of Nuremberg with approximately 200 anti-fascists. With fireworks and loud slogans, we showed our solidarity with Maja and all those affected by repression. Because eight years in prison, whether in Hungary or Germany, is eight years too many.
Whether it's Maja, Anna, Gabri, or anyone else, we send good luck and strength to those in hiding and in prison. We will not abandon you and will continue to fight for your freedom.
