WORLD WORLDWIDE EUROPE FRANCE - news journal UPDATE - (en) France, OCL: Libertarian Summer Gathering 2026 (ca, de, fr, it, pt, tr)[machine translation]

As every year, we'll be getting together to discuss politics and have a good time. Because times aren't always easy and collective action remains our strength, we warmly invite you to join us between Wednesday, July 15th and Tuesday, July 21st in the Poitou region. ---- As every year, we'll be getting together to discuss politics and have a good time. Because times aren't always easy and collective action remains our strength, we warmly invite you to join us between Wednesday, July 15th and Tuesday, July 21st in the Poitou region - the address will be provided later (see our website or upcoming issues of CA). The atmosphere will be that of a friendly, bucolic campsite, so please bring the appropriate equipment.

A shared fund will be in place. The cost of the three daily meals and other expenses will be based on income. We can pick you up at the train stations in Poitiers, Châtellerault, or Montmorillon if you arrive by train. We'll soon share a phone number where you can reach us, but for now, use the oclibertaire email address. Each day, teams for cleaning, cooking, and drinks are freely formed - long live self-management! There will be two discussion sessions during the day. The idea is also to have a good time together enjoying good meals, walks, and games.

The agenda for the discussions is not yet finalized and will be revealed at the next Board meeting.

But here are some discussion topics we could discuss:

- Energy transition, data centers, and nuclear power: examining production and consumption in the context of France's goal of total electrification for energy independence.

- The far right and popular self-defense: an in-depth discussion on the anti-fascist/anti-far right strategy: should we form a united front? What strategies exist for combating far-right ideas and practices?

- How can we form alliances with others in a movement without compromising ourselves? How far can we go in forging alliances without losing sight of our objectives? We can illustrate our points with the struggles surrounding mining and agriculture (DNC).

- "The new world is being prepared before the revolution": practices that tend towards autonomy? What activist initiatives/tools are being implemented through solidarity to improve everyone's lives and increase the autonomy of movements (food security, canteens, etc.)? What are the limitations of these models?

- What intervention strategies and organizational structures are needed from a revolutionary perspective? We are open to discussing and debating with other revolutionary organizations, which are most welcome!

- How can we fight from here against armament, militarization, and wars taking place far away? By necessarily addressing what is happening in conflict zones such as Ukraine, Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, and Rojava.

- Wage labor/precarious employment/transformations of work: because the question of work and its critique still seem central to us today, what are the developments? What conflicts are emerging?

Also planned: artificial intelligence - rupture and/or continuity? The LFI phenomenon;
Gen Z/social movements; anti-colonialism and anti-capitalism.

If you have other ideas, please feel free to share them with us.
