On the agenda
While the previous edition focused on anti-racism and anti-imperialism, this year's main theme will be "Libertarian Communism to Address Ecological Crises." In other words, we will draw upon our roots to confront the challenges of today and tomorrow.

A packed program will provide opportunities to discuss these themes with guests who will share their experiences and analyses. Here's a quick overview of some of the scheduled workshops:

* Presentation of the UTCL's Libertarian Communist Society Project with Patrice Spadoni (former member of the UTCL - Union of Libertarian Communist Workers);

* Creation of the SUD unions with Christian Mahieux (Sud Rail, former member of Alternative Libertaire) and comrades who were part of the UTCL;

* Libertarians in the youth movements of the 1980s with Laurent Esquerre (former member of the UTCL);

* History of the Popular Front with Ludivine Bantigny (historian);

* Capitalist ecocide with Alain Bihr (economist and former member of Alternative Libertaire);

* Ecological and anti-colonial struggles with activists from Vietnam Dioxin;

* Local environmental struggles with Earth Uprisings;

* Workshops on the history of libertarian communism, eco-unionism, social security, disability rights, etc.

Of course, there will also be plenty of fun activities, including banner-making workshops, sports, evening gatherings, karaoke, and more.

Children are welcome at the summer events and actively participate.

UCL
The program is still being finalized. It's packed with activities, but this week is also a time for relaxation, exploring the surrounding area, swimming, hiking, or simply doing nothing and enjoying the Aveyron summer: Wednesday afternoon will be reserved for a break!

And for younger participants, workshops will be open to children and teenagers! Others will be designed with the two UCL facilitators.

Practical Information

The Summer Days are self-managed and require the participation of all members in the daily organization: preparing meals, providing service, washing dishes, maintaining the premises... Of course, everyone contributes according to their abilities!

The UCL Summer Days are being held again this year in the hamlet of Bécours, in Aveyron.

Attention is paid to the quality of the meals: they will be vegetarian or vegan. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please inform us when registering. Bring your tent (and warm clothing), as camping is the primary accommodation option. A dormitory is available for those who need it most.

Getting there
If you prefer public transportation, the liO 214 bus from Millau or Rodez will take you to Verrières (Col d'Engayresque stop). Shuttles will be available to pick you up.

Registration
Visit the Libertarian Communist Union website to register. The Summer Days are open to all members, supporters, friends of the Alternative Libertaire newspaper and its subscribers, as well as their families and friends.

During registration, different rates (under 18, low income, standard, solidarity) are indicated. A week costs between EUR48 and EUR192, and includes meals, facility rental, instructors' salaries, travel reimbursements for speakers, and all materials and tools used.
