Zelensky is supposedly open to talking with Putin about territories, according to Sybiha, so that’s new.
Elsewhere, the peace talks at large are also taking some peculiar turns. Putin praised Norway and Finland for reaching out, but also warned that he’s ready to fight Europe if worst comes to worst, as the Pentagon reportedly told the Baltics to shut up about Russia. In the US, Lavrov also made his way to the G20 despite public outcry, while Ukraine has reportedly halted refinery attacks due to US pressure.
The good news is that evacuations in Oleshky are underway after the landmines were cleared, but the bad news is that the rest of Ukraine is being bombed hard every day. At least three were killed in central Ukraine’s Kremenchuk, over 350,000 went without power in Dnipro, while another ballistic salvo at Kyiv last night killed at least one, as Zelensky pressed Uncle Sam for more Patriots that should’ve arrived long ago.
The winter forecast is also getting more pessimistic by the day, with the UN expecting 9 million people to need extra help. And with bridges continuing to be under threat, Ukraine is also eyeing alternative river crossings nationwide – again, should the worst come to worst.
