Spain, Media, Protesters trash Zara shop in Melbourne

Spanish anti-austerity protesters have gone on a rampage in clothing chain Zara in
Barcelona, breaking glass and hurling mannequins and clothes onto the floor.

protesters briefly occupied the Zara shop in central Barcelona and some protested inside
an Apple Store, an AFP photographer saw. ---- The protesters from the minority anarchist
labour unions CGT and CNT were demonstrating against the government's economic policies in
the current recession and debt crisis. ---- "It was a few troublemakers who fled as soon
as they saw the police," said a CGT spokesman. "We condemn these acts," he said of
Wednesday's disturbances.
