Brazil, Marco Feliciano and politics of the grotesque by Bruno Lima Rocha (pt)

The pastor and congressman from the PSC of S?o Paulo, Marco Feliciano, trajectory has at 
least controversial and is the subject of the revolt of advocacy groups and movements

None of this would happen, and this type of policy would never be elected if the country 
had a severe Anti-Sect and there was no such permissiveness in selling the bars 
programming schedules in private TV channels. It's the same criticism on a larger scale, 
since Brazil coexists with entire channels under the control of religious organizations, 
devoting much or all of their programming for proselytizing faith. In an illiterate 
society where functional illiteracy through the options for voting, beliefs preach like 
blessings is easier than explaining the mechanisms inflationary factors or structural 
inequality. Ignorance transformed into political power strengthens neopentecostal bench.

Feliciano is another reflection of the deep ideological because the marked improvement in 
the quality of life of Brazilians not accompanied by a change of mentality in the lower 
classes. The result is this grotesque combination of political representation based on 
popular conservatism and prosperity theology. In MMA by such governance, the allotment of 
positions and functions indicated the preacher of ignorance to a position sensitive. 
Thankfully there was popular reaction. Now it's a matter of time until that toppled the 
president to save the image of allies and supporters.
