1936 and 1939, have been historic, university, etc ... The anarchist parenthesis which 
found its origin in the events of 19 July 1936 and lasted in some areas, beyond the 
attempt against-revolutionary coup in May 1937, has often been recounted, sometimes very 
critically, when it is the opponents of "libertarian spring" that are harnessed. ---Thus, 
social achievements, exemplary in the region Puigcerda, as in the rest of Catalonia, were 
often the object of vilification: transvestites, to the point that the anarchists were 
assigned the worst excesses. Bourgeois and Stalinist took turns to bring the revolutionary 
work, libertarian and egalitarian ... ---- And yet, a journalist from the very bourgeois 
Petit Parisien, December 19, 1936 and chronicling the lives of workers Puigcerda ...

It's true. Life goes on. Children warmly dressed fun today as yesterday, the women go to 
wash in the fountain, the men at their office, at their workshop. Or abnormal grief or 
excessive cheerfulness. Each spends its convenience and its sufficiency unified salary. 
Everyone has food and leisure (...) Antonio Martin stressed to the reporter: "(...) You 
have found that we are not destructive. Everything works. Person lacks nothing. Everyone 
works and distracted. I do not think you saw any mess. Everyone feels responsible for 
public order. '"

The same Antonio Martin was assassinated on 25 April 1937 and by order of Stalin, as 
pointed F. Morrow: "The carabinieri, reinforced and joined by local forces PSUC attacked 
workers Puigcerda patrols. Antonio Martin, mayor and leader of the CNT, popular throughout 
Catalonia, was shot dead by the Stalinists (...) "

It FRIDAY 17 MAI 2013, from 7:00 p.m., Room Cinema SAILLAGOUSE (Pyr?n?es-Orientales), the 
activists of the group Puig Antich for the Coordination of Anarchist Groups will host a 
conference on the theme: "1936 to 1939, spring Puigcerda libertarian. " Researchers 
Catalans will be present. We hope to many and many to this conference, which will moreover 
be contradictory.
