popular solutions! ---- The long night of fights June 17 changed the situation in Brazil 
and resized social protests. The massive mobilization of nearly 1 million protesters in
dozens of cities and capitals of the country and the world did not happen in our political 
history from the Outside Collor in 1992. There is a before and after putting on the 
national scene a new collective historical subject that catalyst is a powerful social 
force in the streets. ---- In pregnancy this new correlation of forces in the fight 
against rising rates of public transport is the most articulate expression of an avalanche 
of feelings and repressed demands that go beyond the dominant controls of Brazilian society.

There is a saturation of the capitalist model deepened over the past 10 years by 
neo-developmentalist version of PT governments. This model promised a large modern Brazil 
at the expense of a brutal deterioration of the environment, public spaces and living 
conditions of working people and youth.

The dominant model demanded a social class which increased the power of big capital over 
the cities, and the common agricultural frontiers. The entire territory was redesigned by 
the representations of the ideal of a productivist emerging place in the world system of 
power and wealth. Mega-events, public works and private infrastructure, agribusiness 
companies estampam the ideology of growth in Brazil. The neo-developmentalism is due to a 
change in the state's role as a growth factor of big capital, relative integration of the 
popular sectors and social regulation. Do not break the dominant structures of power,

through a certain ideology attuned to individual desires of consumption and prosperity.

expropriation of the right of popular sectors of the city, public spaces and restricted

The limits of the streets and the need for organization from below

The size taken by the protests, coupled with the work that the mainstream media and 
sectors of the right has done to introduce their agendas in the demonstrations, shows the 
limits that this form of struggle has when there is a grassroots organization that gives

The sectors that has been participating in protests are mostly a younger generation that 
does not have the same references of organization and struggle that generation of the late

reorganization of UNE. It is a generation that has new respect, closely linked to the

For us, the anarchists FAG, if the strength of the streets and direct action is crucial to 
express the power of the oppressed, nor is it sufficient if those same oppressed have no 
instruments of struggle and organization in which the guidelines expressed in the streets 
can be discussed, developed and coordinated in other areas of the organization. Unions,
Student Entities and Residents Associations are examples, but by collective workplace 
committees discussing issues that affect us as transport, health and education in 
neighborhoods, schools, etc.. are other examples of organization that should be 
implemented for claims that are felt daily discussed, agreed and released forcefully on
the streets with our mobilizations.

Without these basic spaces, we hold the coming and going of the situation, those organized 
groups that have well-defined interests and at all times try to be guided mobilizations
and not build a project of their own, while the oppressed and to be able to cope with 
classes dominant and their instruments today try to co-opt the demonstrations, with great
