Brazil, Tarso, the PT, and the logic of absurdity!

recent weeks events such as expulsion from organized militancy PT Block Fights and 
education workers' strike, has again placed the fore the debate about the character of the 
PT and government Tarso.

This debate is not uncommon for the bank" discussions" shallow and sometimes more 
emotional, where creativity and rhetorical trapezismo predominate at the expense of a 
political balance around facts that have intensified in recent months.

Since the occupation of the city council have witnessed an offensive by the PT and its 
membership to come forward with a speech"left", speech that always aiming to justify the 
measures taken by the party and government, silencing sometimes openly slandering other, 
this discourse also operates in order to sabotage and isolate those who struggle with 
independence of the state and federal government, clashing with them on rare occasions there.

An episode that clearly defines this offensive by the PT was the realization of such a" 
crisis of representation Seminar and renewal of democracy in the XXI century" which took 
place on 05th and 06th September Porto Alegre. The seminar suggested promoting such"broad 
debate about the prospects for renewal of democratic institutions in Brazil and abroad, in 
the wake of protests last month, and its consequences on the national scene." In the words

independent media and social movements."

04 September, the Public Ministry, which did not appear Tarso and his representatives did 
not present concrete measures for titling of indigenous lands and Maroons, showed the 
clear marriage between government and Tarso FARSUL in conducting a land policy that 
paralyzes reform, families throw your own luck in regions without the minimal

As indigenous peoples and Maroons, workers of state education were also struggling with 
the government. Teachers and other employees of the school community were to strike the 
approval of the national standard of teaching and by the end of high school reform from

campaign was Tarso who systematically ignored, even if paying the scoundrel role of

Just as road workers, indigenous and maroon dialogue encountered by teachers on strike so 
that was not defended in such seminar or as celebrated by party agents in texts published 
on the network and other spaces. The"dialogue" was found by educators direct repression 
when, on day 09 received tear gas and pepper spray to perform an act in front of the 
governor's house, so we managed to dispel the act hastened to apologize for the

education through Clovis Secretary Jos? Azevedo has reached the point cutting workers' 
education on strike, a decision that was later reversed by an injunction. In addressing 
the strike, the"progressive" education secretary and former leader of the Union CPERS -

Such struggles that were going on in our state in the last two months, counted with the 
active participation of the Bloc Fights from its various committees. Be shoulder to 
shoulder with fellow indigenous movement and maroon, is the forceful intervention of its 
education committee, which was able to streamline the agenda of the strike by mobilizing 
teachers, staff and pupils, and starring major acts like the occupation of the legislative 
assembly. In all these struggles shone the lack of solidarity by the militancy of 
organized PT, until the occupation of the city council, was turned themselves and their 
disputes in classical institutional apparatuses, with sparse, almost no presence in the 
struggles that preceded.

In the midst of this process, the party unleashed one of its marketing operations policy, 
rigorously prepared in advertising agencies, casting a commercial campaign as the party 
affiliation. Opportunistically and demagogue, the piece seeks to present the PT as a major 
organizing agent of the days of struggle that we live this year, inserting a picture of 
fellow organizations that are publicly known as left-wing opposition to the government in 
a meeting with Tarso where he was handed the list of demands Block. It is always good to

All these events, coupled with the intervention of a militancy that unfolded to make the 
impossible possible for the Block Fights were a transmission belt of the party and 
government led, inevitably, the option in assembly, for the expulsion of militancy 
organized fora party movement. It is not, therefore, as many would have you believe that 
actually reduces to a problem of emotional background of an expulsion because certain 
people have certain political conception. In our militancy daily deal daily with ordinary 
people with diverse ideas and political and religious convictions. This daily contact, the 
result of activist work with people who believe either in Tarso, Dilma, Lula, Serra, FHC 
or whoever is a far cry from the meticulous performance of a chain, or a composition of 
chains, determined in turn a legitimate popular movement into a transmission belt of a 
party and government that blatantly attack those who dare to struggle with political 
independence and class.

The thesis of a possible dispute of PT governments and the party itself can no longer be 
defended if not by the logic of the absurd. The artful engineering of the social pact, 
meticulously stitched between the government, employer and trade union bureaucracies and 
popular field, walks invariably to a collaboration with the above, while working in the 
fragmentation and cooptation of sectors from below by a hand and the progressive isolation 
and repression of those sectors that do not submit to such agreements on the other spurious.

While" crisis of representation" and"renewal of democracy" are discussed at some amazing

representations have not any crisis, are clear, obvious and politically convinced. There

It remains to all of us, the most militant base in different sectors not doubling against 
such abuses, strengthening our organizational instruments from a solid political 
independence and class.
