France, Alternative Libertaire AL #231 - International fascism: Towards a European unitary movement (fr)

A safe and xenophobic specter is haunting Western governments since the attacks of
September 11. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the specter of Islamic threat has
replaced communism. Therefore, security topics, xenophobic, conspiracy and return to work
deep moral societies. ---- Over the past two decades, Europe has been the empowerment and
participation in coalition governments of extreme right parties (Austria, Italy,
Switzerland, Hungary ...), after democratic elections. Extreme right-wing formations have
also been troubling outbreaks in several countries: France, Netherlands, Norway, Finland,
Serbia, Greece ... Racist riots, murders immigrant-es, Roma, anti-fascist and a mass
attack, committed in 2011 in Norway, marked the strengthening of European fascism. Since
2008, the crisis provides fertile to this resurgence of the extreme right soil.

Link fascism and the fight against austerity
Few recent studies of the phenomenon. The book of the late Larry Portis [ 1 ] studied the
profound links between capitalism and fascism. It is an illuminating illustration with
authoritarian temptations of the May 2013 JP Morgan analysts [bank 2 ]. Dominique Vidal's
book [ 3 ] provides for its analysis of the "three families" (neo-fascists, straight
radicalized party "anti-system") of the "new extreme right" European.

For the first time since the end of World War II was launched a European fascist
manifesto. It is not a coincidence that this ambitious initiative was initiated by Greek
fascists, since it is in the European countries, strangled by the liberal troika, a
neo-Nazi party, Golden Dawn, has since 2010 a meteoric rise. The Manifesto was popularized
during the Altersummit Athens in June 2013, where a tribute was paid to our fellow Clement
Meric.

The founding document says that " ? the struggle against fascism must be closely linked to
the daily struggle against the austerity policies and the system that generates them.
(...) The European antifascist movement should be the heir of the great anti-fascist
traditions of the continent! (...) It should lay the foundations of a social movement with
structures, with daily activity, pervading society, citizens in organizing the
anti-fascist networks in their professions, their homes and their sensitivities, leading
fighting on all fronts human activities and fully assuming the task of protecting the same
physical (...) all those who are systematically victims of state racism and fascist
underworld. ? "This manifesto concludes with a call for the establishment of a European
anti-fascist movement, unitary, democratic and mass.
