Dear friends, as some of you already know, we – activists from Afrique Europe Interact, the German Refugee Councils and other groups - are planning coordinated actions to demand that the remaining refugees from Choucha will be accepted in Germany. There will be a conference of the ministers of interior of the federal states in the beginning of December, and we decided to write a letter (see as attachment in English, French and German) which we will send out to the ministers and to the press from today on. We will also call activists to fax and send this letter to the ministers and to call them. There will be also some actions to hand over the letter to the minsitries in cities like Bremen, Wiesbaden, Mainz and Hamburg (and maybe others) on the 25th of November (or some days later). On the same day in Tunis, about 50 refugees will go to the German Embassy and demand resettlement for all remaining Choucha people in order to prevent more deaths on the sea. During the conference of the ministers of interior in the city of Osnabrueck, there will be a press conference (probably on the 5th of December) together with refugees from Choucha who have got resettlement in Germany. It would be perfect, if similar actions could also take place in other European countries! Hope our coordinated actions will have a positive result! Conni
