(en) France, Alternative Libertaire AL - Memory: There forty years, the Francoist state murdered Puig Antich (fr, pt)

On 25 September 1973 the anarchist Salvador Puig Antich is caught in a trap set up by the 
Guardia Civil, the police of the Franco regime. The weapon in hand, he tries to defend 
itself. It will be tortured, Withers, and died Saturday, March 2, 1974. Spanish fascism 
killed once more, once too. ---- Young libertarian, born in May 1948 in Barcelona, he 
would be 26 years old and was active in the ranks of the Iberian Liberation Movement, the 
MIL, "support group for radical struggles of revolutionary workers' movement in 
Barcelona." ---- We can read in the second volume of memoirs Jann-Marc Rouillan, Mourning 
innocence: one day in September 1973 , an account of recent weeks MIL marked by death and 
imprisonment of their comrades Jos? Luis Pons Llobet and Oriol Sole Sugranyes.

In 1974, France is the revolutionary anarchist organization, ORA, ancestor Alternative 
libertarian, which is at the forefront alongside jailed ex-MIL.

We provide below two articles published in the Libertarian Communist press of the time, 
and the booklet The Truth About imprisoned Barcelona published by the ORA [ 1 ] and

A personal recollection

In 2005, a fellow Libertarian Alternative, formerly of the ORA, testified: "I'll always 
remember the night we expected the award for Puig Antich. He risked the withers. Old CNT 
we had copiously explained what the torment of the withers.

There was a vigil Rue des Vignoles, to await the verdict of the trial. And when the death 
sentence was pronounced - I'll always remember - all those old Spaniards were standing 
stiff, silent, with tears flowing. The atmosphere was electric. At this time, a CNT 
released reserve an old typewriter and said: "This one fellow, she was never numbered." 
You could type a press release without traceability.

Everything was said. In the days that followed, in retaliation for the execution of Puig 
Antich, ORA organized attacks against Spanish interests in France - you can tell this 
because there are prescription. And therefore, the same night, five Spanish banks soared 
to Paris. The operation had been mounted, and the ORA was never worried. "

FN welcomes Franco

It might also be recalled that this year, a party just created, the FN Jean-Marie Le Pen, 
crying with wolves and welcomes the fascist Franco regime for its "severity".

This is the same FN, which today maintains links with the Spanish Falange fascist group 
still active, as evidenced by the presence in the party BBR 2006 a Phalangist stand and 
the parade of delegation at the event frontist May 1, 2008.

Puig Antich died in March 1974.

Forty years later, the heirs of his killers parading in the streets and on TV trays. The 
brown plague beyond the ballot box. We, we, the heirs of the struggles and battles of 
Salvador Puig Antich. Then as now, behind fascism, lies the capital, yesterday as today, 
no pasardn !

FASCISM IS DEATH: DEATH TO FASCISM

Statement published in Libertarian Front of the class struggle , revolutionary anarchist 
newspaper Organization (ARO) in his No. 32 March 1974

"Today, Saturday, March 2, at 9:40 am in the courtyard of the provincial prison of 
Barcelona, the young Catalan anarchist activist, Comrade Salvador Puig Antich was foully 
murdered by the fascists who withers jackals for over thirty years exercise their bloody 
terrorism against the Spanish people.

Spain, bloodied by the criminal Franco and his clique assassin and fascist executioners, 
today mourns another victim, a new truncated life. This horrible crime and wild by the 
baseness of his criminal motivation, by the will of terror with which he hopes 
unnecessarily intimidate all those who struggle for freedom and dignity of the Spanish 
people, and the bestial sadism with which it was prepared, implemented and installed 
without even considering the most basic standards of bourgeois "legality", including its 
Francoist version [...] and, in the end, knowingly and executed against the vast and 
vigorous indignation of a Much of the Spanish people and international public opinion, 
crime is the most obvious proof that our country's civil war continues, between freedom 
and oppression, there is no compromise, but only a total war, until the destruction of the

Curses, pain, tears, blood and rage of the people will eventually kill the tyrants. They 
are wrong murderers and bloody mummy who inspires them, if they hope to enjoy the 
sacrifice of Comrade Puig Antich for their survival strategy. They are mistaken if they 
have intimidated with the murder, those who struggle against tyranny and exploitation. 
[...] They finally wrong, if these fragile illusions, they founded the hope of putting an 
end to the growing revolutionary consciousness of the exploited and oppressed, and the 
continuing radicalization of the working class and popular struggles for freedom and 
survival. [...]

And as for you, comrade Puig Antich, we want to tell you only that the mention of your 
name will be for us every moment of our struggle, a powerful stimulant for an approach 
will be destroyed when fascism and which will be realized these ideas were yours and which 
are ours. "

PUIG ANTICH MURDERED BY THE SPANISH STATE

"On Saturday, March 2 at 9:40 am, our comrade Puig Antich was Withers by the Spanish 
state. For this murder, Franco tries to break the revolutionary movement. The solidarity 
movement that developed in Spain for activists ex-MIL (Iberian Liberation Movement) shows 
that the fight against the Spanish capitalism is not a minority did.

The so-called "liberalization" reveals its true face and it is clear that today the 
Spanish State is the same as murdering to Hitler and Mussolini sides. With this state that 
the French state has a special relationship. [...]

It is also because he was an anarchist and because of the practice of MIL Puig Antich died 
in an almost general indifference. It is now time to send telegrams of protest, to marches 
and press crying foul. This is before we had to act.

Two other activists of the former MIL, Jos? Luis Llobet and Oriol Sole, may also the death 
penalty. It's too late to get up against the murder of Puig Antich, it is now to save his 
comrades. We call on all workers to mobilize to prevent another murder. Saving Jos? Luis 
Pons Llobet and Oriol Sugranyes! Against fascism: class war! "
