Let's make it happen !


There are now four houses opened in Calais which we intend to take into a
legal process and to court. Four houses which are often visited by the
police, one of them has been evicted already and then reoccupied. These
places are still not safe from an eviction threat as the bailiff didn't
show up despite all the evidences of occupation we have.


Calais being Calais, we have to force the town hall, the police and their
chief, to respect the law... And for this, we need to be numerous and most
of the people who have been involved in Calais these last weeks will leave
in the next few days...


It's been a while that it's nearly impossible to keep squats open and to
have the rights to a legal process. Now, we have the oportunity to create
four new sustainable places, and everyone is needed. This is the first
time that we can try to build so many spaces safe from the police, and
this is a chance we can't miss !


Recently, life in Calais has been overwhelming for people on the ground.
As usual the daily life is keeping people busy, an activist presence in
Victor-Hugo is still needed, and now people are also necessary to keep an
eye on the new spaces and to give them a chance to have a long and useful
life. Without mentioning the fascists attacks that people have been
facing...


This is a key moment in Calais squatting struggle, and it's a very
exciting and exhausting time ! The future of this places is something
which is worth fighting for, and this struggle starts now and needs
people; your energy and ideas !
