Demand farm controls to prevent an "antibiotic apocalypse"

Dear friends,
The overuse of antibiotics in farming is contributing to a dangerous increase in antibiotic–resistant bacteria, which could ultimately result in the loss of effective antibiotics for human treatment. Please sign this petition to demand that European Commission crack down on overuse of antibiotics in factory farming.
Sir Liam Donaldson, former UK Chief Medical Officer, says: "Every inappropriate use of antibiotic in animals is potentially signing a death warrant for a future patient." We can't continue to prioritise immediate commercial pressures over the wellbeing of humanity, and we all need to demand that swift and appropriate action is taken to protect our remaining antibiotics.
If enough people sign, the European Commission will have to take the necessary action to prevent an 'antibiotic apocalypse'.
