Dear friends,
We're not even halfway through 2017, and already we've seen so many heinous attacks against lesbian, gay, bi, and trans people this year:
- In Chechnya, more than a hundred gay men have been arrested and tortured or murdered.
- In Tunisia and other countries, authorities use "anal tests" to "prove" people are gay.
- In the USA and around the world, LGBT refugees and asylum seekers are ignored and forced to face life-threatening choices.
We've got a plan to keep fighting back, but we need your help.Our #FightBack pledge is a quick and easy way for new people, who may not have heard about All Out or our campaigns, to sign on in support of the movement and all that we're fighting for.
History has shown that the power of people like you and me can overcome the most entrenched bigotry, if we stand together. But as our enemies gain momentum, our movement must become stronger.
So far this year, All Out members helped provide safe housing to dozens of LGBT refugees stuck in Turkey, helped fund the evacuation of gay men at risk in Chechnya, and raised global pressure to help free a transgender woman wrongfully put in a male prison in Tunisia.
We believe in the power of the All Out community, but it's going to be a long, hard fight in the months ahead. Imagine what we could accomplish together if all of us got three friends to join!
