Tendons slashes and hung from the ceiling

Ireland: Stop "Death Ships",
Don't Export Live Cattle!

Dear friends,
Their tendons are slashed. They're hoisted to the ceiling by one leg. Then, they're hit with sledgehammers. These cattle did nothing wrong, but every year, hundreds of thousands are exported from Ireland — live — only to be slaughtered when they reach land. And during their overseas journeys, these animals' lives are filled with pain, fear, dread and terror.
Cows are packed together in tight, overcrowded conditions, and journalists report that exported Irish animals often go without food or water. Many die during the gruelling journey. Those that survive are left standing amongst the carcasses of other animals that have died.
Laws in Ireland and the larger European Union have no jurisdiction over anything that happens once animals disembark. Governments cannot regulate the standards of welfare, so these cows are at their handlers' mercy. There is only one way to ensure this torture stops: prohibit the export of these animals.
We have a chance to make a real difference, and save thousands of souls from gruesome suffering. Sign Polly's petition and be a voice for the animals.
Thank you for all that you do,
 Miranda B.
