Dear friends,
My name is Mazwi*. I'm 21 years old and I know how terrifying it can be when you're young, gay, and alone in Swaziland.
My family is conservative, like most people here. I've had to hide my true self from them for most of my life. After all, it's still illegal for me to be in a relationship with another man in Swaziland.
Everything changed when I found out about a group called Rock of Hope. They showed me that I don't have to live alone and in fear – there's an LGBT community here that will always have my back. And now, they're planning to unite ALL LGBT people in Swaziland in the country's first Pride!
But Rock of Hope is a small organisation and doesn't have the funds needed for this important project. So we're turning to All Out members like you. Luc, will you help?
I wish I could have attended Pride when I was younger. Meeting other LGBT people would have helped me learn that it's ok to love myself for who I am.
The next generation of LGBT Swazis should grow up knowing that they're part of a strong community.
If 630 more All Out members chip in, Rock of Hope will be able to create the biggest LGBT event in the history of the country.
And with a donation of just €5 you can become part of it, Luc.
Thanks for going All Out,
Mazwi
*I'm not using my real name, for my own security
