In the space of three days, the Trith-Saint-Léger factory experienced two dramas. The
first with the alarming statements of Carlos Tavares ; the second with the frightful
accident of a temporary worker. A third tragedy is, without doubt, the weakness of
reactions to these scandals. ---- Tuesday August 28, Carlos Tavares, the boss of PSA (paid
no less than 5.24 million euros in 2015) moved to the site of Trith-Saint-Léger (North) to
demand an increase in rates, so to push the daily production of 1,800 gearboxes to ...
3,000 ! Just that ! The main concern, as said the next day Jean-Pierre Mercier (CGT
central trade union delegate at PSA), is that the Trith site is an alarming and
understaffed dilapidation. As it stands, it is delusional to demand such an increase in
production. We could have stopped there, and say that it is finally the normal attitude of
a boss vis-à-vis the world worker, namely to squeeze it as possible as a lemon to get the
maximum benefit.

A tragedy was soon to remind everyone of the reality. Two days after the arrival of
Tavares indeed, a box of parts of a ton and a half fell on a temporary 21 years. The box
was transported on an unsuitable cart, used to replace the good, broken down. Remy was
literally crushed. It is a "  miracle  " that he is not dead.

The daily La Voix du Nord on August 31 reported "  multiple fractures spread over the
spine, lumbar, cervical, pelvis and ankle  ", it was necessary to add "  an open fracture
of 10 centimeters on its head. A little blood had spilled in his skull. We do not know if
his bone marrow has been reached. A tendon from his right hand was also severed. His left
hand is damaged. He made a pneumothorax. His diaphragm was depressed. And his bowels have
moved  . Rémy has at least five months of hospitalization. We imagine that this should not
have prevented Carlos Tavares from sleeping.

Each year, 500 to 600 deaths by work accident
In three days, it's all about the violence of the bosses at Trith. This does not surprise
us, because serious accidents are multiplying everywhere in France, and there is not a
week without a worker, a worker, dies in his workplace, crushed by a machine, or crushed
by a machine. Every year, in France, work accidents cause between 500 and 600 deaths,
according to the French Institute for Public Health Surveillance.

Where the rub is the very hardworking solidarity. It took a week for a CGT press release
and the organization of a pot. This could perhaps be explained by a lower attention paid
to temporary workers and precarious present in mass in the factory, or their
disorganization. But from there to waiting a week for a press release, a little relay of
information - there was no spontaneous disengagement, or call for even one hour of protest
strike - is that the evil is deeper. Today, we seem to be there: to be 20 years old and to
be crushed on an assembly line with almost total indifference.

Border closure policies are growing, more and more migrants are dying in the
Mediterranean, or are being hunted down in France. In the face of this repression, let us
organize to support them, and mobilize for the opening of the borders and the freedom of
circulation ! ---- Back on an occupation at the university of Nantes ---- On Thursday
November 23rd, 2017, in Nantes, a general assembly was organized on the university.
Following this one, the occupation of several rooms of one of the buildings of the
University of Nantes began. The objective was simple, we are students or employees of the
University and we will occupy our place of work to house Foreign Minors.es. ---- During
the occupation the organization is managed collectively. We organize collections of food,
clothing ... Courses are also organized for these young people. Far from being a long calm
river, the occupation was held despite the threats of the presidency of the University to
involve the police to evacuate the premises. We then organized ourselves among students,
staff, teachers, doctors, journalists, with the help of the unions to create a balance of
power and maintain the occupation. Successful operation since the president of the
University agreed that the occupation be maintained until the end of the winter break.

A repression that persists

With the asylum and immigration law passed in August, state repression increases against
migrants, the detention period of undocumented migrants is extended to 90 days,
surveillance and registration now extend to minors If you are a foreigner, medical help is
reduced. The government's refusal to host the Aquarius in a French port illustrates its
policy of closing the borders, endangering the lives of hundreds of refugees.

In several cities the state does not meet its legal obligations of accommodation, and
expels migrants who find themselves thus on the street. To remedy this emergency, places
are occupied, as a building of the college of Rennes 2, canteens are organized, support is
set up.

A daily fight against the system

Capitalism drives out migrants from their homes with its wars, its pollution, and the
galley it spreads over the world. Once they arrive at our home, he kills them by his cops,
his fachos and his borders. To solve the question of migration, it is therefore against
capitalism and its racist ideology that we must fight now.

Many migrants are young people, students or workers. Their fight is also ours. We must
organize to support them. Let us occupy our places of study to house exiles, as did our
comrades from Nantes, Saint-Denis or Rennes ! Let's get involved in migrant support
collectives, as there are in France ! Fight against the state and against capitalism, for
freedom of movement and installation !

A statement from the MACC - Metropolitan Anarchist Coordinating Council on the latest
violent outbreak of Proud Boys, the stance of politicians and police actions. ---- Last
Friday (12/12/18), a group of thirty Proud Boys - members of a self-proclaimed fascist and
sexist western organization led by Gavin McInnes - savagely surrounded and attacked
several of our comrades while they were lying on the sidewalk from the Upper East Side in
Manhattan. During the attack, more than one Proud Boy shouted the homophobic "fagot" curse
at the people they repeatedly stepped on and punched. In response to this classic example
of a hate crime attack, dozens of cops patted the Proud Boys' backs as if to warn them
that the cameras were already satisfied with what they had filmed. Late in the evening,
none of the Proud Boys were arrested, and many of the anti-fascist demonstrators had been
taken in handcuffs. Absurd? Yes. Surprising? Do not.

Because some windows had been broken and some "A's in the circle" had been painted on the
doors of the Metropolitan Republican Club, police were highly alert to intercept any
anti-fascist or anti-authoritarian activity the night of the attack. Indeed, if a person
were there to protest against the staging, sponsored by the Republican Club, of an
ultranationalist ending with a socialist, she would automatically be in the sights of the
NYPD as a suspect of night property depredations previous. So when a group of event
participants at the Republican Club began trampling on anti-fascist protesters and cursing
homophobic abuse after leaving the celebration of the murder, the police did as they were
told:

Finally, the Metropolitan Republican Club, NYPD and Proud Boys have the same goal:
maintaining the status quo, whether through racialized economic policies or plastic
samurai swords. The Proud Boys are just staging the costumes of a cop on their lunch hour,
or the desire of a follower of Trump to "make America Great Again" by sweeping the
opposition of the streets. But this political amalgam has already faced and lost the
streets for the antifascists in Charlottesville, DC, and across the country.

It is because of these triumphs that we must reject liberal and center calls for
investigations or prosecutions of the FBI and the NYPD. No arm of the state will serve a
meaningful justice in this situation, especially when the whole system is rotten from the
bottom. Doxxing's anti-fascist campaigns   satisfy the role the NYPD is being asked to
play. We do not have to rely on the police intervention, we can - and will - do it on our
own. We stay safe.

While we think a criminal action is comically amusing, we urge the governor and any other
momentary supporter to provide us with the conditions to really fight against fascism:
abolish the police and let us do our work.

We organised with one tenant to submit a dispute to their deposit protection scheme in a
situation where direct action wasn't possible; we spoke to a group of tenants who weren't
able to move into their flat on the date it was supposed to be ready about the possibility
of taking action for compensation; and we delivered a demand letter to another agency
yesterday, organising with a tenant who had to live with a broken toilet for six months.
---- A hospitality worker who has been organising with us and who had delivered a demand
letter regarding owed wages to their former employer also got paid this week, before we
even started pickets! We were really pleased to hear that every other worker in that
company got paid their owed wages too.

Fighting for worker and tenant control and self-organisation - an injury to one is an
injury to all!
