Dear friends,
Hi, my name is Tiny the Elephant. I am an orphaned baby elephant living in Kenya at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. My parents were killed by poachers. They shot them and then took their tusks to sell on the black market.
I live here with several other orphaned elephants who also lost their parents the same way. But we hope to stop the killing so that other elephant calves don't have to go through life without their family.
My orphaned elephant friends and I were recently visited by Melania Trump. Mrs. Trump was very nice, but what isn't nice is her husband's policy towards elephants. In fact, after promising to protect us, President Trump has actually made it easier for trophy hunters to import elephant parts back to the United States. Elephants from six countries around Africa are now in even more danger because hunters have the green light to kill us and import our body parts.
We hope that by coming here, Mrs. Trump will care more about our story and do everything she can to bring an end to the killing of our mothers and fathers. That's why we launched this campaign to ask the First Lady to convince the president to end legal elephant imports to the United States.
Love, Tiny the Elephant
P.S. Help end poaching today. Sign the petition.
