The facts were clearly brought to light by the investigation and the audience: a neo-Nazi
group attacking the antifascists with fewer weapons ; a comrade killed ; five years later,
people who stammer, discard, assume nothing ; their leader who despises them openly. The
mobilization paid off. Clement's fight continues. ---- The verdict fell on September 14,
at the end of nine hours of deliberations: two former neo-Nazis, Samuel Dufour and Esteban
Morillo, were convicted of deadly blows, with weapons and in meetings, against Clement
Meric. Condemned one to seven years, the other to eleven years in prison, they immediately
appealed. The third man, Alexander Eyrault, was acquitted. ---- What were we waiting for
from this trial ? A slap on the far right ? Surely not. It is not at the meeting that we
will remedy a phenomenon whose causes are political and social.

An exemplary punishment for the three poor guys who were shaking in the box of the accused
? Not at all. We do not want anyone to serve a sentence of confinement in a prison system
that we condemn.

What we expected from this trial was that it establish the facts and put an end to five
years of denials and falsifications on the part of the fachosphere, but also on the part
of cynical editors, poor journalists buzz and men of power in a hurry to send fascists and
antifascists back to back. It is for this reason that the Clement Committee, for five
years, called to remain mobilized to maintain the pressure, to get the investigation
forward, the case remains in the news and the truth finally bursts.

What to remember from these days of hearing ?

1. It was the neo-Nazis who attacked
On June 5, 2013, rue Caumartin, in Paris 9 th , five neo-Nazi skinheads attack four
libertarian and anti-fascist activists. The exchange of blows lasts a few seconds, then
the skinheads run away. On the pavement, a dead man: Clément Méric, 18, trade unionist at
Solidaires-Étudiant-es.

In the days that follow, the murderers are arrested, the press is carried away, the
indignation is general. It is that the extreme right is customary of the violence in pack,
sometimes mortal. Everyone has in mind Brahim Bouarram, assassinated in 1995 by skinheads
members of the SO of the FN. In 2002, it was François Chenu, lynched because homosexual.
In 2008, Nourredine Rachedi, beaten because Muslim, had narrowly escaped death. In 2013,
Clément Méric was added to this list. However, very quickly, some media - RTL, Le Point -
had reported a testimony claiming that it was the anti-fascists who had provoked the
fight. An insinuation that did not change the facts - Esteban Morillo having quickly
admitted to having borne the mortal blows - but which ended up establishing a kind of
moral equivalence between the two groups.

In parallel, the fachosphere was working to light fires, hammering that Clement Meric was
the real aggressor, and that Morillo was in self-defense. Alain Soral suggested that
Clément's friends, in search of publicity, had deliberately sent him to death. Dieudonné,
on his YouTube channel, invited Serge Ayoub to exculpate his neo-Nazi group, Third Way, to
which the murderers belonged. And Eric Zemmour was angry about iTélé, against what, for
him, was a " big number " media.

The pinnacle was reached with the broadcast, at the France 2 newscast, of a report by
journalist Hugo Clément who, extrapolating from vague video surveillance images of the
RATP, affirmed that Clément Méric had thrown himself on the skinhead, which he turned his
back ! Subsequently, both the police and the RATP disagreed with this misinterpretation of
untrue images, but in the minds of the general public the harm was done.

During the investigation and the hearing, this thesis of aggression on the part of
anti-fascists was swept away. It is the neo-Nazi group that has rushed on the antifascists.

2. The most serious expertise argues for the use of an American punch
Yes or no, did Esteban Morillo beat Clement Meric in the face with an American punch ? It
has long been one of the main gray areas of the case. Establish that the skinhead hit him
with a knife 6 th class (whose port is prohibited) led to recognize its full culpability
in the death of his victim.

Morillo denied ; witnesses claimed to have seen the weapon in his hand. Forensic expertise
trampled. Two forensic doctors, holding on to a visual and radiographic examination, felt
that Clement Méric had not suffered a broken nose. They were rebutted at the hearing by a
lawyer who did an examination based on something that was much stronger: a scanner. His
diagnosis was clear and precise: " two bursting wounds " on Clément Méric's nose ; the
right wing of the nose " fractured " but also " sunken ", which makes it quite likely the
use of a blunt weapon.

3. The far right offers the spectacle of denial
Esteban Morillo, Samuel Dufour and Alexandre Eyrault have, throughout the trial, sought to
depoliticize the case, to escape the neo-Nazi ideas they once proudly endorsed. Tattoos
erased, lives tidy, past denied ... We are far from the motto of Third Way: " Believe,
fight and obey " ...

For their part, the three anti-fascist libertarians called to the helm - Steve, Matthias
and Aurélien - have not given up their convictions since 2013. They assume them fully.

4. Guru Serge Ayoub scorns his former followers

Third way, white wolves ... These are the affidés of the megalomaniac businessman Serge
Ayoub, said Batskin, who are bailing out. He's always doing well, thank you.
In the hours following the altercation, the skinheads telephoned Serge Ayoub, said
Batskin, the chief of Third Way, to ask him for advice on the course of action. The police
recorded 34 telephone calls between Ayoub and Morillo ; 22 with Eyrault ; 4 with Stéphane
C .; 9 with Samuel Dufour. It was therefore natural that the owner of the bar Paris Le
Local be called to the bar.

After vainly trying to avoid his summons, he appeared at the courthouse equal to himself:
arrogant, devious, megalomaniac, but especially full of disdain for his former followers,
he dropped shamelessly. According to him, he hardly knew them, they were only vague "
sympathizers, no more " of Third way, kids without ideology, without convictions.

This morgue of Ayoub should serve as a warning to all and all the young rebels who,
mistaking anger, turn to the extreme right. They will find only businessmen and
manipulators who will release them at the first opportunity. In the revolutionary and
anti-racist movement, we have other values. We stand together ; we do not let down comrades.

September 14, day of the verdict, there were 500 in the Parisian street - the Clement
Committee, the AFA, AL, Solidaires and the NPA, for the most part - to proclaim it loud
and clear, in memory of Clement and the other victims of neo-Nazis.

THE EXTREME RIGHT CONTINUES ITS EXACTIONS
After the murder of Clement Meric, there will be others.

In March 2017, 18 members of the White Wolves gang were in court in Amiens for criminal
conspiracy, violence, kidnapping and attempted murder. At the head of this extremely
hierarchical clan, where terror reigned and servile obedience, was a lieutenant of Ayoub -
released free of the court, once again. Jérémy Mourain, aka " Capone ", was sentenced to
nine years in prison.
In June 2018, ten members of the Task Force Group were arrested while planning anti-Muslim
attacks.
In the midst of Meric's trial, several members of the Ligue du Midi were arrested for the
extremely violent commando operation they carried out against student strikers in
Montpellier in March 2018. They had benefited from the complicity of the dean of college
and a law professor, indicted.

The following is a transcript of a live Q&A session with Kali Akuno hosted on Twitter by
Black Socialists of America (@BlackSocialists) on October 10, 2018. We found the
discussion valuable and hope to offer more content like this. See below for the original
tweets and videos. ---- Q: What do you think of the Leninist idea that the vanguard
seizing the state in the name of the working class is the first step towards Communism? If
skeptical, what ideas are salvageable from this? If supportive, what can be done to ensure
a better revolution? ---- Kali Akuno: This is, I think, an essential one and needs to be
addressed. First off, let say that I think Lenin is still one of the geniuses that the
movements has produced. That does not mean that he is infallible or set up by any means of
the imagination what we should be following just blindly or without criticism. We have to
match things up with the facts that exist and the realities that exist and develop
strategies based upon the conditions and the time and place that we are in. This is a
critical thing and I think one of the things that he[Lenin]demonstrated in practice and
that is worth emulating whether you agree with him or not.

That said, getting into the point around strategy, let me say unequivocally that the
bourgeoisie is not going to surrender its power and control over our lives without a
fight. We should all be clear about that. The question really is: How are we going to
organize ourselves to win the fight and how are we going to organize ourselves more
importantly to transform our society?

That I think is the essential question and I think if we look at what happened in the
Soviet Union and some of the other experiences of the 20th century we see the party was
good for seizing power but not for transforming relations and that what we have to get to.

We have to seriously study in some detail - I think this generation in some great detail -
the revolutionary movements of the 19th and 20 century, starting at really looking at and
evaluating the great Haitian Revolution and I think we find some patterns there that go
deeper than just the question of the Leninist model. We see some repeats in history. I
think if you really look at the Haitian Revolution and in particular some of the conflicts
and contradictions in the political thought of Toussaint L'Ouverture on the one hand and
Jean-Jacques Dessalines on the other, and how they were both analyzing the situation and
what were the prospects and road going forward.

What you'll find there is outside of both them being generals and being in militarized
structures you'll find some parallels between some aspects of what's being questioned as
the Leninist model. But beyond that you just see the larger dynamic of the questions they
had to face: How was this laboratory project going to survive surrounded by enemies,
constantly being threatened with invasion, and how was it going to both meet the needs of
its people but defend the gains that they had made? And this is a question that all of the
movements in the 19th century definitely had to confront but also the 20th century. I
think the form that Lenin came up with dealt with part of the question but what you also
see in the Haitian example is once they obtain power they did not know how to transform
the relations of production, they did not know how to change society in that way - this is
our challenge.

Obviously looking at history, I would argue, that you can't wait until some party claiming
to be revolutionary seizes power to try to start ushering in the social transformation. It
has to be done, I would argue, long before those forces make a real contest for power. But
that contest is going to have to be made. That part I think we need to all be very clear
about and I would love to argue that with anybody.

That said, one of the key things in my thinking and evolution has always been to really
look at how various traditions have sought to do the self-organizing of the class: to both
seize the means of productions but also usher in new ways to socially reproduce ourselves
and to make ourselves into better humans who live in harmony with the environment. And for
that I think we have to draw upon the many varied traditions of the left - anarchism,
anarcho-syndicalism, the ecology movement and it's different threads. These are all things
that are going to be needed I think for us to really usher in a serious transformation
that's about ending the sixth extinction which we are going through, directly confronting
the calamity of climate change and its threat to all of complex life forms on this planet,
not just to humans. This is where I think many of the practices of the social and
solidarity economy are important for us to really take seriously and to adopt. And some of
the folks who have been best at upholding that tradition, at least over the last 50 to 60
years, have actually been anarchists and this is something we have to look at.

If you enjoyed this piece we also recommend another piece addressing questions of movement
strategy, "Electoral Pursuits Have Veered Us Away": Kali Akuno on Movement Lessons from
Jackson."

Some 150,000 people in France, in more than 100 cities. The mobilization of September 8 is
the largest ever known in France on climate issues. What is the origin of this
mobilization ? What form did she take ? What possible consequences for it really weighs on
government policies ? ---- The mobilization that some hoped for at the COP21, end of
November 2015, therefore took place on September 8, 2018. The Climate March 2015,
organized by the Coalition Climate 21, was banned following the attacks of November 13:
instead there had been " human chains " and 317 police guards for those who had dared to
go round the Republic Square and not disperse at the announcement of an order no one had
heard . ---- The spark ---- On August 28, Nicolas Hulot resigned as Minister of Ecology
and Transition. Taking everyone by surprise, he denounced his inability to make things
happen. It was not the government or the precedents that it incriminated, but on the one
hand the lobbies of the productive and energy industries, and on the other hand the lack
of mobilization of the society. Thus, it invited everyone to question themselves
personally, in the context of the amazement of our society in the face of climate change
and the fall of biodiversity.

Coming after a new summer in which global warming has given very concrete signs of its
reality (heat waves, fires, floods, melting of the ice cap ...), this announcement caused
a strong emotion. When Maxime Lelong, 27, a journalist with no particular activist
activity, launched a Facebook event called " Walk for Climate ", the craze was immediate:
in two days, 20,000 people had already indicated their interest. The announcement of his
resignation by Nicolas Hulot has served as a spark.

In this respect, it is interesting to note that it had been months since NGOs had been
working to make September 8th the " World Day for Local Action for the Climate ". It was
about organizing international pressure on GCAS, the Climate Summit that would take place
the following week in California. If, seen from France, this date did not make sense, some
thirty actions were however already planned, and a rally on the Place de l'Hotel-de-Ville
had been declared to the prefecture, announcing the presence of about 500 people.

A " I'm Charlie " Walk for Climate
But with the spark sparked by the resignation of Nicolas Hulot, the mobilization has
changed scale and surprised everyone. Organizations committed to World Climate Day,
however, quickly put their infrastructure at the service of the growing movement. Thus,
the NGO 350.org has proposed multiple online resources (models of posters and leaflets
claiming the release of fossil fuels, videos to be broadcast on social networks to promote
mobilization, numerous coordination tools, etc.). and support for those wishing to
organize a local action (budget allocation to print leaflets and banners, collective
training for organizers and collectives, etc.). However, until the morning of September 8,

On Saturday, September 8th, tens of thousands of people took to the streets for whom this
mode of action is far from being a habit. We saw all ages, young as well as old. Few
racialized, few popular classes. A crowd quite comparable to the one who took to the
streets on January 11, 2015 for the " I am Charlie " walk .

" Stop the fossil industry "
These two marches have more than one common point. They come after a spark, a specific
event that marked the spirits and caused a need to go down the street. They group around a
generic slogan " I am Charlie " / " March for the climate ", but do not defend a specific
political project. They are of the order of indignation, denunciation, ras-le-bol, "
that's enough ".

There were few flags in the processions. Few slogans, almost no claims, recommendations.
On the individual placards, one could read " Planet in danger ", " There is no planet B ",
" Less plastic, more bio ", and even " Thank you Nicolas Hulot for having tried " or " I'm
hotter and hotter, and you ? ". On the side of NGOs, Attac and Alternatiba carried the
slogan " Let's change the system, not the climate ", while 350.org had prepared in Paris a
huge banner " For justice, stop the fossil industry ". Our local collectives of AL have
been present in several rallies, and collective struggles were present everywhere in
France (against Europacity, in support of Notre-Dame-des-Landes, against the central
Gardanne, against the shale gas ... ). However, the crowd was largely made up of
unorganized people, who certainly made the promise of not waiting for the change to come
from above, but whose good resolution all too often seemed to be " peeing in the shower".
The good news is that a sizeable part of the population is very concerned about climate
change, and is ready to change its behavior, starting by going down the street on a
Saturday when it is not its place. habit.

The question that tarnishes us on the other hand, is whether this concern will help to
change the reality in terms of effective organization of the fight. This is how we can and
must act in at least two directions. On the one hand, we actively involve ourselves in
local communities of struggle, especially those that are radically radical in terms of
ambition for social transformation, while not being immune to recovery and integration. by
the capitalist system. On the other hand, act especially in our unions so that the
environmental issue is, permanently and non-negotiable, taken into account in our
strategies and demands, and that we can no longer say that the defense of employment is
done at the expense of ecological issues.

On 28-30 September, the Balkan Anarchist Book Festival (BAB 2018) took place in Novi Sad,
Serbia. Among other interesting discussions, an open event for anarcho-syndicalism in the
Balkans was organized with the participation of the SSC (from local Athens and Ioannina)
and anarcho-syndicalist organizations from Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo: "The
organization of anarchist trade unions and labor struggles in the Balkans". The event was
attended by FAU Germany's comrades who presented the new anarcho-syndicalist
international: the International Labor Confederation (ICL) in which the ERC also
participates. Following a proposal of the ERC, a meeting was organized between the
organizations where e-mails were exchanged for the purpose of creating a mailing list and
re-organizing the anarcho-syndicalist Balkan Forum which, after the meeting in Bulgaria in
2015, ceased to exist. Various ideas for joint Balkan actions were discussed. The
conversation will continue electronically. The next anarcho-syndicalist Balkan meeting
will be held on the sidelines of the next festival that will take place in Bulgaria this year.

On Tuesday, 2 October, a truly glorious event - a craze against nationalism - was
organized at Prague's Peace Square, organized by the Prague-based radical left-wing group
Kolektiv 115 and people around the Good Night White Pride campaign. ---- What was going
on? Elections to the councils were approaching, so Tomi Okamura's Sect of the Direct
Dictatorship in Prague decided to organize a spectacular event in front of St. Ludmila's
Church where, for sailors and tradesmen (traditional, Czech!), . ---- But one means, the
lord (in this case, but rather the municipality) is changing, and so in the place of
"Veselice with SPD" instead, the jubilation was completely different. ---- How did that
happen? SPD organizer words: "Do you know what really mocks? Schedule a large pre-election
event in the center of Prague, rent a bail for equipment and bands, get a lease, promote
social networking and web sites, send hundreds of thousands of newspapers with an
invitation, and then blow off some anti-fascist band. But it will happen. "

The Prague SPD wanted to "lead the city", but it was not able to report its action
properly (which is now commonplace even for the most deorganized part of the loopers), so
the anti-Fascist and anti-fascists announced their action, and from 14.00 on Mírák
"Jubilation against nationalism".

The action was preceded by confusion on social networks, where the Prague SPD claimed at
the last moment that the event would take place and that "the police would see it",
eventually canceled their "folk craze", allegedly because of "security risk fear" that
day, "thousands of fascists from Antifa!!!!"

The performance of "anti-fascist fascists" was performed by many different artists, such
as the great Romany rapper McGives, who also embarked on a sharp anti-comedy freestyle,
our favorite songwriter OiOi PiratOi, Kato from Prago Union, Pio Squad or Vladimir 518.
Part of the line- but also the Slam region, where, among other things, the best-known
representative of this genre, such as Anatol Svahilec, appeared. It can be said that
everyone in the program has come to his own.

The number of participants and participants ranged from a few dozen (afternoon) to
hundreds of evening as the event leaders headed out and people could come out of work.

The event ended at about ten o'clock, and the participants and participants quietly broke
up home.

The program had been supplemented for several hours by the SPD stand, at the last minute
at least at the exit of the metro next to the hot dog booth, where the Prague minions
tried to discourage the passage from the "extremists and terrorists from Antifa". A little
further, their camp broke down the anarchists from the ODS, who tried to attract innocent
souls to a wide range of merche (thermos, cups and key rings - who would resist?) With a
blue bird's logo.

There were no big breaks between the last minute and aggressive parties and anti-fascist
parties, and the most momentous moment of the day was when the angry Lord of the ODS tried
to ride through his car through the anti-Fascists' action.

The reactions that were going on were in most cases positive - regardless of their own
political views, the Okamur authorities really do not like many people. A separate group
was formed by people who arrived on the square in the opinion that there was a SPD event
there. Surprisingly, their reactions were not primarily reluctant, so many of them,
following an invitation to soup or hot tea, came to a discussion that often showed that
their support for the SPD did not stem from racist convictions, but rather from its own
uncertainty.

Finally, we quote one of the organizers of the event, Filip Hausknecht, who shortly wrote:

"Yesterday's action against the SPD in Mírák was interesting one more thing. Because the
SPD promoted her mainly through the election newspaper, so many people did not know that
the action was canceled, so they also came. One lady might have asked me if Mr. Okamura
came in for signing.

Well, we did not drive these people anywhere. On the contrary, we talked to them,
explaining why we are there and what alternative we offer. At least for me, the reactions
to one were all positive. Those people went there primarily because they were afraid. Not
refugees, but insecure future. They do not know if they will be able to afford housing if
they end up on the streets because of their executions, if they ever get a decent pension
... And often because they are alone and nobody listens to them.

Personally, I did not see the action yesterday as directed against the SPD voters and
voters. If we want to defeat the SPD, we need to understand why people are choosing it and
offer them a real, not false, alternative. In a country where tens of thousands of people
are in the streets, hundreds of thousands in executions and in income poverty and rents
are growing unsustainably, we must fight for a dignified life for all. We are ordinary
people, even though we may have a better background, and we are also upset - but I refuse
to take my anger at the most vulnerable. It is because of their desire to earn profits and
violence.

So let's not go for a simple note that SPD voters and voters are stupid, etc. Let's talk
to them, listen to them and help them fight for a better world. And do not create more
enemies than we can beat - in fact, there are only a few dozen. "

New brochure Trojka and @ -TAKu: Jaroslaw Urbanski "Wiecowniczki, Zofia Tulodziecka and
the beginnings of a radical, professional women's movement in Wielkopolska." ---- Zofia
Tulodziecka and the beginnings of a radical, professional women's movement in
Wielkopolska. ---- The emancipation of women on socio-economic grounds was associated with
specific changes in the economic system - the advent of modern capitalism. Women
relatively quickly gained awareness of this fact, as well as the need to defend their own
specific professional and political interests in a systematic and organized manner. ***
A-yes - we have been publishing an anarchist newspaper since September 2015. It is a
nationwide project that we constantly try to improve and develop. You have the proof for
it in your hands. In the Attachment Library series, we present texts that due to their
volume could not be found in the pages of our newspaper. Texts that continue and develop
the topics raised in the Attack, which we found interesting for the modern anarchist
movement and important from the point of view of the current public debate.
The paper itself is not enough for us, because what is the issue without practice? For
us it has and still has a lot of meaning. For this reason, we take an active part in the
activities of the anarchist movement by participating in countless meetings, discussions,
direct actions, and demonstrations. We are a group that wants to coordinate and strengthen
anarchist activities throughout the country. We try to reach people and groups of
beginners and those more experienced. We help in establishing contact with other
individuals / groups, we exchange experiences and skills. We also create and disseminate
nationwide materials promoting anarchism - leaflets, posters, stickers.
