This baby elephant is being tortured!

Release baby Thanwa the elephant now! He is chained up, tortured, and covered in bloody wounds at only eight years old. Sign Now Dear, A baby elephant named Plai Thanwa has been brutally mistreated and is now chained by all four legs. All because he behaved like the wild animal he is, and wouldn't allow himself to be ridden by drunk tourists. Elephants are wild animals, and aren't here for our entertainment. There are about 270 elephants being kept for 'entertainment' at camps in Phang-nga, a province in southern Thailand. Demand for rides from tourists is high, so animals normally used for other forms of labour are drafted in to be ridden. Often they are unfamiliar with this unnatural experience, so they get out of control. Sign the petition to release baby Thanwa from his chains.Elephant rides should stop, and be replaced with sanctuaries where any elephants that are not ready to be released into the wild can at least live a more natural life.
