We got our hands on the famous text of the American anarchist group Crimethinc " Change
everything. Anarchist manifesto " (translated into Russian - the team avtonom.org) .
Kraimsink - the brightest representatives of the so-called. "anarchism of lifestyle", a
fairly well-known collective in both the US and abroad, and this manifesto is something
like their program work for a wide range of people. The text reflects how they want to
present anarchism to the masses. ---- I open the text, and the first subtitle that I meet
in it reads: ---- "TO CHANGE ANYTHING, START FROM WHERE ANYTHING." ---- I am absolutely
not sure what exactly such streamlined and absolutely meaningless phrases is that the
person dissatisfied with life and System wants to read. Not to mention the fact that in
the era of the domination of informational garbage in your texts you need to go straight
to the point, and not to talk about "something" and "from anywhere."

The next phrase is:

"The ghost of freedom roams the world, created in his image and likeness."

Another half-page authors lead to the fact that the System prevents a person from
self-determination, to feel his true self and to enjoy the "magic moments" of life.
Subsequent maxims please not much more. The authors for some reason introduce new
philosophical concepts, such as "power" (which the dominant institutions take away from a
person), trying to load them with meaning. Such purely interpersonal concepts as "trust"
and "friendship" are elevated to the rank of political concepts:

"Friendship is at its best - relationships between equals. Equals support each other and
even in competition respect personal space. That's what all our relationships should be like."

It is rather strange to think that power, domination and capitalism became possible due to
the lack of friendship between people.

Here is another powerful statement:

"The hierarchy does not allow to remain on an equal footing, allowing the powers that be
to suppress any conflicts."

I thought for a long time how to approach the criticism of this phrase and did not find
it. Just because it is so vague and meaningless that there is no semantic core that could
be criticized.

A separate section in the pamphlet was titled: "Start with the liberation of desires!":

"Thanks to a thoughtful device of capitalism, the same things bring us instant joy, which
in the long run makes us unhappy."

What are these things??? Call me them! What is it all about?

"... in order to free ourselves, we need control over the processes that give rise to
desires[...]We should look for pleasures that free us from humility and competition."

Yeah, the advice to "seek pleasure" is just what a man of the modern Western world lacks!
Let's look for NEW PLEASURES - says Kraimsink to all the frustrated, depressed, angry and
deceived inhabitants of their country. Hmm.

For the sake of truth, several times on these 48 pages of philosophical philosophies and
sublime fantasies there are successful attempts to criticize capitalism and its value
system, but they are safely buried under a layer of verbal garbage. But kick white
heterosexual men with their "privileges", of course, have not forgotten.

The tin, however, is at the end. After criticizing everything (as it seems to them), the
authors reveal their plan for the reorganization of society to the readers. More
precisely, its absence.

"ANARCHY is what happens when order is not imposed by force."

I wonder how these guys have a story? I think not very much. Otherwise, they would know
that with the disappearance of the central (and any) power, the magical world of
friendship and cute relationships is the last thing that has a chance of occurrence. In
most cases, in conditions of limited resources, the dominance of hierarchical relations in
society, and others, people who have lost central power find and build themselves a new
one - exactly the same - often passing through the chaos of the civil war "against all".
Building a society of horizontal relations requires tremendous preparatory work, the
presence of appropriate institutions and a core of enthusiasts who will promote it.

But why so difficult? it's easier to write that anarchy is ...

"just freedom: the process of constantly rethinking ourselves and our relationship."

Just freedom. Lol I wish to return now to the 1920s and ask the rebels of Makhno: how is
your struggle to rethink yourself and our relationship?

Well, in the end, just a fabulous description of anarchists is given:

"Anarchists oppose any form of hierarchy[...]. Rejecting closed systems, we enjoy the
uncertainty ahead and the chaos within us, which gives us the opportunity to be free."

SHTA? What is the unknown, what a mess? What are you doing up there, on your campuses?

Imagine for a moment that, apart from this manifesto, I have no other texts and means to
tell a random person about anarchism. And here I give the driver Vasya (John, Francois,
Andrzej - it does not matter) this brochure. From it, he learns that the anarchists are
those who "enjoy the chaos within them" and want "uncertainty ahead." A person needs to
feed two children, it is possible to pay a mortgage, or payment for rental housing. Man
needs to support himself. He needs simple answers to the question: how can he make the
authorities and the government stop having him? And to him, people who call themselves
political radicals and postulate their desire to change the whole world offer ... no, not
a concrete and understandable alternative, but "uncertainty ahead." It is quite reasonable
that he, even 100 times negatively inclined to power, will send these philosophers away.

With such texts, anarchism can NEVER fully compete in the marketplace of ideas.

It is important for people to know how they will live under the new social order. "And
what is your program, then, is the program most important?", As the character of the
wedding in Malinovka said. Okay, you want to change everything. Then please answer: who
will grow the bread? How will public transport work? Who will keep order? Will there be no
corporations? And who will pay me for the work?

I understand that if you are a student of Liberal arts, and all your Wishlists have been
paid for by their parents for many years, then pleasures amidst charming chaos and
suspense are quite a good varic. Here are just you guys make up well if 1% of any society.
And if you offer a project for everyone - please make it real or at least CLEAR for
everyone, and not just such as philosophers themselves, with a lot of free time.
Otherwise, you only repel potential supporters from anarchists.

As far as I know, at the time, Crimethinc distributed this manifesto to thousands of
copies. In this case, I am not surprised that the overwhelming majority of the working
people in the United States follow the right or sotsdem, and not the anarchists. No clear
transformation plan? Hence, there is no adequate supporters. It's simple.

Yes, in principle, and God is with him with the US, the main thing for me is that such an
individualistic and hedonistic variation of anarchism never become the norm here, in a
country where anarchists are forced to fight for survival, and anarchism is criminalized
as a phenomenon. Fluttering in a free relationship and chaotic friendship with mutual
satisfaction is certainly cool, but I would be very happy if some other name were chosen
for such an "idea".

Second day of the 52 th Confederal Congress CGT. One-third of the opposition's mandates ;
the dockers refuse to load weapons for the Saudi army ; a touching and applauded Scop-Ti
worker ; yellow vests and pink vests. A report on the spot, day by day, by the blog
Libertarian libertarians of the CGT . ---- While this second day was to remain rather
dull, activists of the union union of the City of Paris welcomed the congressmen with a
candy and a flashcode referring to a small clip against sexism. An initiative directly
connected to the internal tensions between the different CGT structures of the
Territoriaux Parisiens. ---- A short activity report pointed out, among other things, the
difficulty of mobilizing all of our activists during the battle against the Labor law, and
the difficulties in making converge " leapfrog dates" and professional initiatives. The
debate was then divided in this way: some and some delegates, most often critical,
commented on the past confederal activity , the others testified to battles underway in
their sectors.

The very first intervention, that of a comrade from Paris hospitals, was one of the few to
succeed, in four minutes, to make ends meet together. She compared the gradual extension
of a strike, part of a single emergency service, with the mobilization of yellow vests,
and concluded that our period saturated with social anger was conducive to explosions from
below. . The CGT should not take them " with tweezers " if it wants to stay in the race.

Read also: " CGT: Travel between the lines of the 52 nd Confederal Congress " ,
Libertarian Alternative of March 2019.
The general strike, invoking it is good, building it is better
Many interventions, applauded, criticized the powerlessness of the CGT to launch the
general strike that we needed, and that we will still face the attacks of employers and
government. Applauded ... but without really raising the congressists, as if many felt
that to say it more clearly, to work more firmly there is certainly necessary, but that to
realize it concretely in his own company is not so easy.

Some interventions also to ask the writing of a call of the congress, not envisaged this
year. It must be said that the drafting of the call of the congress is always the occasion
of tense debates ... Others to ask for details on the commitment of the confederation to
defend the status of civil servants and special retirement plans.

Noted also: the announced abstention of the Federation of Ports and Docks which was
applauded for the reaction of its section of Le Havre which did not load the arms cargo
ship for Saudi Arabia .

The Caesar guns, produced by the French company Nexter, are used by the Saudi army to bomb
civilian populations in Yemen.

One third of the warrants in the opposition
Finally, the Confederal leadership discarded an analysis of the movement of yellow vests,
arguing that the drafting of conference documents was completed in November 2018: a little
short, while the subject was repeatedly addressed by delegates , in positive. In the end
the activity report is adopted in proportions almost identical to those of the 51 st
congress: 71 % for, 29 % against and 15 % abstention. But in Marseille in 2016, it was
also the balance sheet of Thierry Le Paon that fueled the discontent. It is therefore
reasonable to think that a political base of comrades who would like a more combative
general orientation crystallizes a third of the mandates all the same.

In the afternoon, the session opened with the adoption of two motions of solidarity: one
against arms sales to the Arab coalition that is waging war in Yemen ; the other for
injured firefighters who fail to get their work accident recognized.

Then came the financial reports. David Duguet, a confederal administrator, has led a
direct charge against the retention of contributions - which suggests that it is massive -
and for the pooling of resources: local, media, heritage of different structures CGT. A
debate (very short, for lack of registrations) followed. Then the congressmen were asked
to raise their fists for a photo solidarity with high school students and victims of
police humiliation in Mantes-la-Jolie. Some congressists added a " Castaner resignation !
Resumed without excessive conviction. A dull day, let's say from the outset ...

Scop-Ti moving and applauded
At the end of the afternoon the debate on the orientation documents started. The committee
announced that 50 % of the tabled amendments had been retained ; and that the entire
document would be switched to inclusive writing. 239 unions had tabled 2,819 amendments.
The speakers then followed one another to insist on the importance of the CGT being more
present in environmental or feminist mobilizations. A maternal assistant classmate and a
comrade from the UL Tourcoing described how the CGT strengthened in their sectors by
incorporating the mobilization of pink vests and yellow vests, which shows the importance
of knowing how to get out of the routine. daily.

At Scop-Ti, recovery in self-management. cc Cuervo / AL Marseille
Discover the full photo report here .
At 18 hours, the delegate of the self-managed Scop-Ti factory woke up the congress with a
touching intervention mixing the fight to save the company and solidarity with the
Palestinian people.

A final speaker, in an intervention removed, sharply criticized the CFDT and won applause.
The president of the meeting (Laurent Brun, general secretary of the Railwaymen) tried to
reframe it in the name of " unity " and was whistled by the room ! Colorful conclusion of
a day for the rest without great relief.

Anatoly Dubovik is one of the founders and ideologists of the RKAS named after N.I. Makhno
(Revolutionary Confederation of Anarchists-Syndicalists). This organization existed from
1994 to 2014, and was one of the most notable associations of anti-authoritarian
socialists in Ukraine. Until the early 1990s, Anatoly Dubovik lived in Kazan, and then
moved to Ukraine. Our questions related to the events of 2014-2019, ranging from the
Maidan and ending with the recent presidential elections. ---- - What has changed in
Ukraine after the end of the Maidan. In short, the main changes (or their assessment) - in
politics, economy, social sphere? ---- - The main change in socio-cultural and political
life is the departure from Russia. The final, I hope, break with the semi-colonial status
of Ukraine. This is probably the only positive over the past five years. Otherwise, all
changes are only for the worse. First of all, because we are at war. The standard of
living continues to fall, Ukraine turned out to be the poorest country in Europe ... Or
second on the list of poor countries, after Albania.

The main change affecting the entire population of the country, was a sharp increase in
utility rates. Plus a rise in prices for everything else. In the economy over the past
year there has been a curious trend. People who used to go to work in Russia are now
reorienting towards Poland. At the same time, in the Ukrainian industry itself, at least
in our Dnieper, there was a demand for working specialties: a mass of ads "are required
...". However, the proposed salaries (from 8 to 12-15 thousand hryvnia) are not
particularly inspiring.

From the point of view of small and medium businesses, there has been a serious
improvement - not the economy, no, but - the economic climate, perhaps ... The conditions
in which the business exists ... Over five years, there was a fairly definite dismantling
of the former system of state control over the business, which provided protection and .P.
abnormality The tax system has become more simple and understandable. The business itself,
as it should be, perceives all this as before: "It will not be enough".

- How do you assess the events in Ukraine in 2013-2014? Is it a revolution, a bourgeois
revolution, a coup or something else?

- National Democratic Revolution. Which, based on the very characteristics of the
"national democratic", was to solve the following tasks: 1) the gap with the semi-colonial
status (in fact, fulfilled) and 2) ensure the democratization of social and political
life, i.e. destroy the "oligarchic" system (monopoly on the power of big capital),
liberalize the political, social, and economic spheres. The latter task is not really
achieved, although certain changes have occurred (in the economy, for example).

The main reason, probably, is that the social forces that carried out the Maidan
revolution did not have any clear program and did not find the strength to fight for the
realization of their own slogans (replacing the program).

- Is there now a Revolutionary Confederation of Anarchist Syndicalists?

- Not.

- What is the official (unofficial?) Position of the RKAS (members of the RKAS) on the
entry of Crimea into the Russian Federation?

- The official position can not be, because there is no RKAS. My personal position: the
annexation of a part of the territory of Ukraine, committed by purely military methods
with the strong support of Russian propaganda. Formally, the annexation was carried out
under the guise of a "referendum". This legal concept, therefore, it is necessary to
evaluate the formal side from a legal point of view. At the same time, it turns out that
the "referendum" was held contrary to the existing legislation of both Ukraine and Russia,
i.e. the legal consequences of this action are of insignificant significance, and the
"entry of the Crimea into Russia" turns out to be illegal.

From the point of view of not formally legal, but personal, I am aware that in the case
of a theoretically possible free expression of the will of the population of Crimea (if it
were carried out), the majority would have favored withdrawal into Russia. But what
happened happened: the majority of the Crimean people gladly fulfilled the role of extras,
designed to legitimize annexation, and therefore for me these people are the perpetrators
of all subsequent negative both in Ukraine and in Russia (and indeed, in the Crimea too).
One of the perpetrators, along with the Putin regime.

Little of. As it has already been said many times and by many people, the annexation of
the Crimea created the most dangerous precedent of forceful redrawing of borders in
Europe. For the first time in many decades. Dangerous, by the way, for Russia itself and,
much worse, for the whole world. That is, the Crimean crowd of extras brought closer a big
war with all the ensuing consequences.

- Russian means of state propaganda are spreading the idea that sabotage of unofficial
Ukrainian armed formations is taking place on the territory of Crimea. Usually this is
reported in connection with the "successful actions of law enforcement officers" to
eliminate such groups. In fact, there are no serious speeches on the territory of Crimea.
This is due to the fact that the Russian power structures are holding the Crimea in a
"tight grip" or are these statements really not approved by the main part of the
inhabitants of the Crimea?

- Two different questions are mixed here. It is almost incredible that attempts were made
to send Ukrainian sabotage groups to the territory of the Crimea. The military has enough
problems in the Donbas, where war is already underway. To open a second front in Crimea
from their military point of view would be inappropriate. Moreover, there is still no
convincing evidence of the actions of such groups in Crimea.

The pro-Ukrainian armed underground in the Crimea obviously does not exist. We do not
observe sabotage and terrorist activities there. It is difficult to judge the reasons,
but, most likely, people have not yet been pressed to such an extent that they take up
arms - even in very small groups. It is meaningless to speak about the fact that people of
the Crimea disapprove and what the inhabitants of the Crimea do not approve of. We have no
such information. No one. Official public opinion happily rejoices at its joy from
entering the "native harbor", but what the majority of the population really think is a
mystery. The same as the original thoughts of most of the inhabitants of the USSR at the time.

- What is the official (unofficial?) Position of the RKAS (members of the RKAS) in
relation to the DPR and the LPR?

- Since there is no RKAS, there is no official attitude of the RKAS to these "republics".
My personal opinion, oddly enough, almost completely coincides with the official position
of Ukraine. These are puppet pseudo-states under slightly disguised control and control of
Russia. Stories with the dismissal of the head of the LPR Plotnitsky or with appointments
to key positions in the DPR of the military with Russian citizenship showed this with the
greatest possible clarity.

The introduction of the Russian ruble as the official currency of the L / DPR and the
distribution of Russian passports, which began in the "republics", finally eliminated any
possible doubts as to who actually became the owner of part of the territory of the
Ukrainian Donbass.

- Is there a border between the DPR and the LPR? It is easily surmountable for ordinary
Ukrainians, who, for example, live in Kiev, and their relatives in the LC?

- The border between the "republics" exists. And customs exist. How much the "border"
between Ukraine and D / LNR or the border between DNR and LNR is surmountable is not a
question for me.

- What do you think about the criminal prosecution of Nadezhda Savchenko? Did she really
prepare a coup d'état, or was the charge against her fabricated?

- I did not specifically follow the events around Savchenko after her release from
captivity. Accordingly, I have no single opinion. Judging by her statements that I came
across during the time between her return from Russia and her arrest in Ukraine, the stay
in a Russian prison did not go in her favor and did not add mind. She behaved in such a
way that if the charge of preparing a coup was fabricated, it was not difficult to
fabricate such a charge.

- When P. Poroshenko was president, was there any chance of the transformation of the
power of President Poroshenko into a dictatorial one or not?

- The answer to this question was clearly demonstrated in November-December 2018 in
connection with the attempt to impose martial law (VP). Let me remind you: Poroshenko had
intended to introduce VP over the whole territory of Ukraine for two months. In this case,
in particular, the presidential election in the spring of 2019 was under threat of
disruption. Contrary to Poroshenko's intentions, the Interim Government was introduced in
the border areas and only for one month. At the end of this period, the EAP was canceled.
What was the meaning of these actions? Nobody knows what the press, for example, has been
talking about and is talking about so far. I see the only explanation for them: the
announcement of the Interim Government in part of the country and for a very short time
was the result of mutual concessions by the president and the parliament (plus the
influential competitors of Poroshenko in future elections). Poroshenko too loudly
announced his intention to introduce the Interim Government and completely abandon this
plan without losing his reputation, obviously could not - and therefore he made a
compromise. As a result, he is still very, very far from the dictator.

- Was President Poroshenko a popular president? Representatives of which social groups
supported him?

- Poroshenko was very unpopular. According to opinion polls, the level of his support at
the beginning of 2019 was 5-7%. There is nothing strange in this - any politician who
would lead Ukraine in May 2014 and lead the country during the years of the war in the
Donbas, the national humiliation of the Crimea, economic problems, etc. etc. - would be
unpopular to the same or greater extent. To become president in 2014 meant to commit
political suicide - because it would be necessary to take a lot of unpopular decisions in
a war, and thus not to leave any chance for a second term or other serious continuation of
a political career. However, this did not ensure my personal respect for Poroshenko,
since, as president,

I have not met Poroshenko's supporters "live" and I find it difficult to say which social
groups they belong to. Most likely, civil servants, military, employees of the SBU. Plus -
a certain part of those who are set to continue the current heavy war with Russia. All the
main competitors of Poroshenko more or less openly in favor of reconciliation, the search
for a peaceful solution to conflicts in the Donbas and the Crimea, etc. Therefore, from
the point of view of these statesmen and national patriots, Poroshenko has no alternative.

- What can change in Ukraine after the recent presidential elections, in which candidate
Vladimir Zelensky won?

- Zelensky's program, the specifics of this program, is still not known to anyone. I
suspect that to Zelensky himself. He, as usual, "for all good things against all bad." I
would not make any forecasts from this. So wait and see.

"Nationalists have firmly settled in the extra-parliamentary policy of Ukraine today. Are
the Ukrainian left adjusting to the nationalist agenda? If so, how?

- Once again, I will say that I do not understand the meaning of the word "left": this
term lost its meaning at least in the 1920s. It is more than difficult for me to say what
could unite at least at the level of the common self-name of anarchists, social democrats,
Trotskyists, Stalinists, and who else is meant by "leftists".

The Stalinists, having long ago become only the agents of Russian nationalism and Russian
imperialism, have already disappeared from the parliamentary and extra-parliamentary life
of Ukraine as some kind of organized force for several years.

The part of the socialists and anarchists of Ukraine, which continues its, unfortunately,
barely noticeable existence as a socio-political force, is not so much "adapted to the
nationalist agenda," as it tries to realize itself as socialists and anarchists of
Ukraine. If we take advantage of historical analogies, we must go together with the
Petliurists against the Denikin counter-revolution and reaction. Since there is no
strength to create our own RPAU (or the Red Army).

- Do SAUs exist now (the Union of Anarchists of Ukraine party)? What is their activity?

- SAU exists. It occupies pro-Russian positions, which does not prevent it from
maintaining legal status. The leaders of the self-propelled guns themselves deny their
Russian orientation, claiming that they are anti-militarists and opponents of
"ukrofashizma." But, since the rhetoric of the SAC completely repeats Russian propaganda,
and all the criticism of the SAC is directed solely against the "Nazi regime", without at
all touching the crimes of the Russian state and its agents (for example, L / DPR), they
have to be regarded as a pro-Russian organization. The activity of the ACS after 2014
consists in placing journalistic and historical materials in social networks (the ACS
website has not been updated for a long time) and in very rare street events such as
pickets about certain actions of the Odessa authorities.

I will also note the change in the rhetoric of the sole leader and ideologist of the ACS,
Vyacheslav Azarov: he stopped referring to "anarcho-capitalism", Rothbard and all that,
but he added the terminology of class theory to his lexicon, mentioning the bourgeoisie,
the proletariat, "we are working" and tons .P. Probably, on this basis, the friendship
observed by me between Azarov and the citizen Professor Dame Vadim Valerievich arose.

- During my last visit to Kiev, I talked to a local taxi driver. When he learned that I
was from Moscow, he said "this is their war, not ours." Why, in 2014, there was not a
single political force that could clearly carry this idea into Ukrainian politics and
shift the focus from intergovernmental issues to social class ones?

- First of all, because social-class questions did not interest those who, logically,
should have a sympathetic attitude towards these issues, i.e. class of employees. Since
the proclamation of independence in 1991, the proletariat of Ukraine very rarely and with
great difficulty found the strength to advocate for the immediate and most glaring
economic interests (such as the systematic non-payment of wages) - let alone talk about
its readiness to accept social and class issues ... remain the object, not the subject of
policy. The demoralization of the socialist movement, caused by the Bolshevik reaction and
the "red" counter-revolution of Lenin-Trotsky-Stalin, continues to be felt almost a
hundred years later, and in the countries of the former USSR there are still no opposite
trends ...

- In 2014, the anarchists of Ukraine actually could not declare themselves and mark their
agenda on the Maidan. What conclusions should be drawn from this not only to Ukrainian
anarchists, but to all non-state communists in general?

"Unfortunately, for the sixth year I cannot formulate these conclusions for myself, at
least." The essence of the problem - my understanding of the essence of the problem - is
already voiced in the answer to the previous question. If the masses of working people are
indifferent to their own social problems and systematically demonstrate their own
unpreparedness to fight for immediate interests, then no most active and ideologically
verified group of anarchist or
socialist activists will replace the class.

- Do you think that the theory of anarchism needs to be updated (not in its essence, but
in some moments)?

- By and large - no. The maximum that may be required is to present the theory in a more
modern language, and not in the language of the 19th century.

- Some of the anarchists of Ukraine participated in the ATO? What do you think of it?

- I am not aware of such facts. Socialists, who volunteered for the war, I know. I support
their actions. The reasons for this support have already been mentioned: the intervention
of the Russian White Guard-Orthodox counterrevolution must be repulsed and destroyed. If
there is no RPAU, it is necessary to support the Petliurists against Denikinians.

- Are the facts known to the participation of anarchists in the armed forces of the DPR
and the LPR? What do you think of it?

- It seems that there were separate anarchists who fought in parts of the DNI. In the
light of what has already been said, I cannot have anything in common with them, I do not
understand their position.

- In your opinion, has the social structure of the Ukrainian society changed after 2014?

- Not too much. The only thing I can say is that the number of temporarily employed
continues to grow, the number of poor continues to increase. But as long as these changes
did not lead to structural changes in society, quantity did not turn into quality ...

- Some time ago I had to be in Kiev. I felt that since 2011 (when I was there before) the
atmosphere of the city has changed a lot. There was no southern relaxation as before,
there was some tension in the faces of people. When will the tension disappear in
Ukrainian society? What could be the recipes for getting out of stress in terms of an
anarchist idea?

Here we quote the Facebook post of IT-specialis Hleb Rubanau from Minsk, who have
participated in internet-flashmob "IAmExtremist" and was punished by 30-hours detention
and fine. ---- "As you may know I live in non-democratic country. At the end of 2018
regime started new crackdown on freedom of speech. They started accusing people of
"extremist posts in social networks", which is punishable by heavy fines or (in theory)
short-time arrest up to 15 days. ---- My friends Mikola Dziadok and Aliaxandr Dzianisau
were punished with fines (typical case could be "antifashist picture with crossed swastika
considered as nazi propaganda", or critical antifaschist publication punished as extremism
because it included the illustrative photo of people wearing prohibited symbols of
ultra-right group, or something like that).

In response, Mikola Dziadok started a campaign of civil disobedience, called
"#IAmExtremist", asking people to post "extremist" materials to protest against the
"anti-extremist" law (which is just a tool of censorship). Regime predictably reacted with
more trials and fines. I was on the radars too.

This Tuesday (May, 7th), at 4.30 am police called to my landphone and asked to go out and
check the "car possibly damaged by vandal". I'd not care about car, but they told I have
to confirm there's no damage and no accusations against some (virtual) person detained and
suspected in vandalism.

As I arrived on scene, they detained me and put in jail for 30 hours, "as a measure to
ensure my participation in trial for extremism", which was scheduled for 11.00am wednesday.

I am not eligible for the "arrest as a punishment", as I look after mother with
disabilities. Nevertheless, I can be (formally) "detained until trial" (up to 72 hours),
which they exactly did, despite the fact that I did not refuse to appear in court and
explicitly requested them for written subpoena, which makes detention unnecessary unless I
am obviously hiding. I also informed them about my mother condition and the existence of
4-years-old kid, as they are obliged (in theory) to take into account the social
situation, when making the choice between detention and subpoena.

During detention, my rights to make written appeals were several times rejected or obstructed.

During transfer from police station to the jail police tried to make a video record of my
face, with the intent of submitting the data into automated system of faces
identification. I successfully refused the controversial procedure as something I am not
legally obliged to do (it took only 15-20 minutes of hot dispute).

When I was transferred to jail from the police station around 1pm, me and two other
detainees were told that we'll only receive food next day, because of late transfer. For
the same reason our families are not allowed to deliver food for us until next day. This
effectively meant me and other guys will have no food for more than 24 hours (since
tuesday night until wednesday morning). I informed them that this situation formally looks
like cruel treatment and may be qualified as torture, prohibited by international
conventions. In protest I declared a one-day hungerstrike until supposed trial. In the
evening they tried to provide us some food "semi-oficially", but I politely refused.

Later in the evening I discovered several insects on my matress and informed the jail
personnel of the situation, demanding some mitigation actions. No action was taken, so
around midnight I informed the personnel that I refuse to sleep on potentially infected
matress and therefore have no place to sleep and will be staying/sitting all night. This
verbal information was accepted without reaction, written appeal was only accepted in the
morning despite multiple requests. I also declared this is a potentially "cruel/torture"
situation.

At around 11am wednesday I was delivered to court... and set free. No trial happened, I
was given an official subpoena to appear for trial on Thursday May 16. This paper was
exactly the document I proposed the police officer to give me at 4.45 am Tuesday instead
of 30-hours detention.

So I consider this story as an unjustified repressive action with the intent of spreading
fear among "usual people" who are openly criticizing the regime and/or are sympathizing
the public civil rights activists. However, I do not suffer and am considering the current
situation as a tactic victory - I was able to use all available non-violent resistance
methods with maximum possible effect. My plan is to dismiss the case completely on May
16th trial (despite courts are pro-regime, sometimes they dismiss obviously staged and/or
too badly faked cases).

My physical condition is fine, and I must admit that no physical violence happened. Some
media distributed quite scaring photo of me which looks like I was severely beaten. It's
not the case, I was just looking naturally badly due to 30 hours without eat and sleeping,
plus had a bruise on my nose which was existing prior to the arrest. So, if you see this
photo, I'd be thankful for not sharing it without context (or, better, not sharing at all).

I will continue to struggle for my civil rights with all possible non-violent methods, and
will inform you of the news.

Thanks a lot for your support!"

At May, 13, Hleb Rubanau was fined on around 370 euro for his comment on Mikola's Dziadok
Facebook page. He have posted a link in his comment, and the preview of his link contained
"ACAB" abbreviation. This abbreviation is officially banned in Belarus as an "extremist
materials".
With no doubt, this all case was created and inspired by GUBOPiK (Belarusian
anti-extremist police) to show that even "common people" (Hleb Rubanau is not an
activist), who support the #IAmExtremist flashmob, will be found and punished.

The Saudi ship Bahri Yanbu has been halted by dockworkers in the Italian port of Genoa.
---- The ship had previously picked up weapons for the war in Yemen from Antwerp, Belgium,
but at Le Havre, France, it was prevented from picking up more arms for the Saudi military
after a legal challenge by protesters from a human rights group. Now in Genoa, dock
workers, with support from local protesters, have taken direct action and refused to load
generators, saying in a statement, "We will not be complicit in what is happening in
Yemen" and they also make the call to "open the port to migrants and close it to arms".
---- While we are pleased that the legal challenge in Le Havre successfully prevented the
ship from being loaded, we should also remember that the ruling class courts are rarely on
the side of justice and the only sure way to prevent mass murder in this and other wars is
when workers take direct action and physically prevent or sabotage the ruling class war
effort.

This is the true spirit of anti-militarism and working class internationalism and the ACG
applauds the dockworkers and their supporters in Genoa. We can only hope that this type of
intervention sets an example to other workers also in a position to halt the bosses' war
machine.

Fourth day of the 52 th Confederal Congress CGT. Conventional fire against this new
bureaucratic level ; debate on the organization of the isolated and subcontracting ;
concerns about anti-union repression ; questions about candidacies for confederal
leadership. A report on the spot, day by day, by the blog Libertarian libertarians of the
CGT . ---- For this fourth day of the Confederal Congress, the session opened with the
presentation of motions of support to various struggles ... The congress generally adopts
several, without further discussion. One of them would have deserved to be re-read with
the eyes of the ecological unionism that the CGT wants to embody: the one presented by the
Federation of Agro-Food supporting the strikers of the sugar refinery of Toury
(Eure-et-Loire ), whose plant is to close at the end of the year.

This is obviously not to dispute the fight for employment, but to put into perspective an
argument - national food sovereignty - put forward in the motion. Indeed, beyond the
nauseating odor that the plant releases, the question of beet sugar, in competition with
cane sugar, raises complex questions: the massive use of sugar by the mastodons of cooked
dishes raises a public health issue, and the industrial beet crop - which has supplanted
wheat in this part of the Beauce - has completed killing one of the country's best
agricultural lands and depleting the region's water tables. Drought forces, farmers water
the fields from the beginning of April !

But let's break this digression and come back to the results of the votes of the night
before. The vote of theme 2 of the guidance document gave 70 % for, 29 % against and 7 %
abstentions. A figure consistent with the balance of this congress, with nearly a third of
unions in the opposition. It is therefore interesting to note that the vote on theme 5, on
internationalism , is adopted at 79 %, with 21 % against and 8 % abstention. This means
quite clearly that critical mandates calling for a more radical line are much more than "
pro-FSM " mandates . And that's good !

Read also: " CGT: Travel between the lines of the 52 nd Confederal Congress " ,
Libertarian Alternative of March 2019.
Yellow jackets and union unity
The report on theme 3 (the construction of the balance of power) announced that it had
recorded 355 amendments tabled by 102 unions. A small half have been integrated but
largely reformulated (99 of them). The questions of yellow vests and trade union unity
dominated the debate, with that of the construction of a general strike. An amendment from
the SNTRS (the CNRS union) proposing convergence with yellow vests was clearly in the
minority.

The debate on trade union unity, as usual, does not escape caricature and sectarian
positions which allows the confederal leadership to justify maintaining the wording on
unionism gathered. Another SNTRS amendment proposing to replace this formula with the
search for a " trade union unity based on clear claims " will also be a minority, but only
a small one.

An amendment demanding that the Confederal leadership " push " a work plan and a
mobilization calendar with clear demands was also a minority, the commission explaining
that the confederal leadership has a role of support but no pilot ... The delegates have
yet the impression that when it comes to defending political choices and pushing back
amendments, the Confederal leadership firmly drives the votes ! Theme 3 was adopted by 70
% for, 29 % against and 6 % abstentions.

A union from a big Airbus factory turned into a site syndicate to be able to syndicate in
subcontracting.
84,000 union members isolated !
The debates on theme 4 (evolution of CGT structures) were dominated by the question of "
isolated " (84,000 union members without union) and unionization in subcontracting
companies. The question of the unionization of high school and university students has
also been debated by various unions, and the amendment to this effect has been rejected
very little.

Already present the day before, the issue of trade union repression has also returned to
the debates, with sometimes a slightly disturbing naivety. Some comrades do not seem to
understand that the only real protection for militant militants is to have a balance of
power and a legitimacy gained from co-workers.

An amendment proposing to reject the existence of the new regional committees - whose
project has not yet been validated - was also rejected very little. Like an amendment from
the National Committee of Unemployed (the CGT-Unemployed) which proposed the creation of a
committee of unemployed in each UL, to which the commission replied that one could not
freeze a model unique and that the territories have variable collective forms.

A site syndicate to include subcontractors
A union from a big Airbus factory has announced its decision to turn the company union
into a site union to be able to unionize the numerous and numerous employees of
subcontracting.

All at his option to put forward the multiprofessional union to bring together isolated ·
s all professions (which amounts to mini-UL) the Confederal leadership has rejected the
amendment presenting the assets of the local trade unionism industry claiming that this
amendment wanted to create a " single model ". This was not the case at all, but the
management was thus sparing a response on the substance and the study of this possibility
among others ... Theme 4 was finally adopted with 65 % of for, 35 % against and 6 %
abstention.

The CGT-Unemployed proposed the creation of a committee of unemployed in each UL.
Huge tensions at the regional level
But the question of the statutory appendix for the new regional committees has again come
to stir up the congress. The presentation of this new structure is ready to smile: it is
not at all to align the CGT on new administrative regions, but to " help UL and UD to stay
closer to employees " (???). The congressmen subjected the rapporteur to a rolling fire
denouncing pell-mell an additional bureaucratic stage ; the aspiration of financial and
human resources that are already lacking in ULs and DUs ; the alignment on the pyramidal
operation of the CFDT ; the creation of regional CGT secretaries who will be " political
superprofets " ...

The subject revealed a tremendous tension, and it took a long break for the Confederal
leadership to resign itself to withdrawing the question and ... sending it back to the 53
rd Congress. The congressmen have obviously enjoyed a form of revenge against a platform
that, often, handles responses language of wood and clumsy authoritarian postures.

In the same spirit of appeasement, before the election of the Confederal Executive
Committee (CEC), she submitted a draft call for the Congress ... after having rejected the
idea several times. The call must be discussed Friday morning.

Stability of one third of mandates requiring more radicality
The final vote on the guidance document gave 70 % for, 29 % against and 7 % abstention.
This remarkable stability of the " against " demonstrates the existence of a wing that
requires more radicality, without being homogeneous or represent a " trend " as it may
have existed in the CFDT of the 1980s and in other confederations .

Oh, you realize, suddenly the Info'com delegate - union combining thunderous speeches and
very moderate practices - never spoke during the whole congress ...

A beautiful union unit CGT-Solidaires, in 2016, in support of the eight of Goodyear.
Questions on the rejection of certain applications
The election of the CEC and the Control Commission closed this particularly tense day.
With a new surge of tension around the rejection of some applications that have been
maintained by some of the delegates. The refusal to integrate the candidate of the UD of
Seine-Maritime (Gérald Lecorre) is clearly political. Benjamin Amar, UD Val-de-Marne, was
not less virulent in his criticism but he is protected by his membership of the PCF ...
Gisèle Vidallet, outgoing member of the Confederal Bureau, probably pays his independence
of mind and a more insightful understanding of yellow vests.

The commission did not give any clear explanation to the delegates and it is not easy to
identify with certainty the reasons for the rejection of Sandra Buaillon (UD of Paris) and
Mireille Stivala, secretary of the federation of the Health. In any case, the list of 60
candidates (30 men, 30 women) proposed to the delegates by a vote of 80 % of the national
confederal committee is elected, all and all candidates exceeding 50 %. None of the 4
maintained were elected because they had not crossed the bar. One remark: the new CEC has
only 8 workers and 15 managers, 12 technicians and 6 supervisors.
