Dear friends,
Dr. Amr Wasfi is someone you would never want to treat your pet. Police recently arrested the veterinarian and charged him with animal cruelty after pet parents started noticing that Dr. Wasfi was making their animals worse, not better. But now the vet is out on bail and back at work.
Dr. Wasfi runs Black Rock Animal Hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut in the United States. During their lengthy investigation, police learned that staff routinely witnessed the vet acting violently and abusively towards pets under their care. In one incident, Dr. Wasfi began hitting an innocent, docile kitten that was under anesthesia so hard that its intestines popped out of an incision in its body.
In another case, when a man brought in his dog Monster, Dr. Wasfi lied and said the animal required surgery to treat a fractured pelvis. For a full 18 days after the operation, the vet refused to release Monster back to its owner. By the time Monster made it home, the dog was bleeding and emaciated — having lost 22 pounds.
Even worse, another veterinarian at the hospital discovered that Monster hadn't even needed the surgery at all, and that Dr. Wasfi had actually used an X-ray from someone else's dog. Regardless, Dr. Wasfi still sent Monster's owner a bill for $3,330. It's clear this man should not be anywhere near animals. He must be stopped from harming any more pets!
Dr. Wasfi's license was temporarily revoked 23 years ago for "unskillfulness toward an animal," but when he got it back, he returned to his animal-abusing ways. Today, police are even warning people to keep their pets away.
We need the Connecticut Board of Veterinary Medicine to revoke Dr. Wasfi's license for good. Sign the petition to demand that officials in Connecticut save future animals from being harmed!
Thank you for all that you do,

P.S. Veterinarian Dr. Wasfi beat an unconscious kitten until its intestines popped out of its body and performed surgery on a dog that didn't need it. It's time for his veterinary license to be revoked — permanently.
