Sign Now Dear friends, When authorities raided Michael Wysolovski's house, they could not have imagined the horror they would find. Trapped in a dog cage was a 17-year-old girl. She was hunched over, severely malnourished and suffering from ringworm. Wysolovski had been keeping her hostage for more than a year. Wysolovski pleaded guilty to first-degree cruelty to children and interstate interference with custody, and was facing a 10-year sentence. But because of a plea deal, he got off with only eight months behind bars. He will spend the remaining nine years and four months of his sentence on probation, and not serve another single day in jail for his crimes. The Huffington Post reports that Prosecutor Michael DeTardo said that the relationship was a "gray area" because the victim was carefully groomed into initially consenting. Let's be clear: this prosecutor is saying that the trauma this girl endured doesn't count, and he blames her for it. Sign to demand that the Georgia State Bar Association disbar prosecutor Mike DeTardo for declining to prosecute this heinous case of rape, torture and imprisonment.
