Dear friends
What started out as an uneventful trip to the Dollar Store for Iesha Harper, her fiancee Dravon Ames, their baby girl, and their four-year-old daughter, quickly became a nightmare thanks to the disgusting misconduct of two Phoenix cops.
Unbeknownst to her parents, one of the little girls had taken a doll from the store without paying for it. The police were called, but instead of treating the situation as the misunderstanding that it was, they followed the family home without sirens on and proceeded to verbally and physically attack Dravon and Iesha in front of their children.
The police officers were not wearing body cameras, but bystanders caught everything on film. As soon as the family arrived in the apartment complex of their children's babysitter, the cops swarmed the family's SUV with their guns drawn. One of them repeatedly screamed at Dravon that he was going to "put a cap in his a**" and shoot him "in his f***ing face." And all this just because of little doll.
One of the officers proceeded to kick Dravon so hard in the leg that he collapsed. Another cop confronted Iesha and attempted to snatch her baby out of her hands. When Iesha finally was able to give her baby to a bystander, the cop threw her into their patrol car and cuffed her. They showed no concern for the fact that she was pregnant, and that handling her so roughly could hurt her or her baby.
Since the attack, Dravon has had trouble walking and their four-year-old has been so traumatized that she has started wetting the bed and having nightmares. And yet, the cops still have their jobs.
Thank you,
