Sign Now Dear friends, Gay conversion therapy is a twisted practice forced on children against their will, and it teaches them that they are bad, wrong, or sick for just being who they are. Studies clearly slow that this so-called treatment causes self-hate, depression, and even provokes suicidal thoughts. Yet in most U.S. states, gay conversion therapy is still completely legal. Sign the petition to demand that every state bans this dangerous practice for LGBTQ youth! Being gay or queer is not a disease to be cured, and it can't be "prayed" away — nor should it be. Every day, gay conversion therapy centers make false promises that they can "fix" these children, but all they really do is threaten the wellbeing of anyone who walks through their doors. Many of the children who are forced to undergo these harmful "treatments" are placed there by their own parents. So far, only 18 states and the capital city of Washington, D.C. have banned gay conversion therapy. This means that many young people in the U.S. are still vulnerable to being coerced into these horrible self-loathing centers. Parents are supposed to love and treasure their children unconditionally.
