Laws criminalizing same-sex relationships were actively enforced in at least 35 countries over the past two years. That means millions of LGBT+ people were at risk of being fined, going to jail, or worse just because of who they are or who they love.

And this year, we saw clear, targeted, increased violence against LGBT+ people in Brazil, Italy, Poland, Russia, Tanzania, Uganda, and many other countries.
