All levels of government in the US are failing to protect black and brown people’s basic rights, in ways that exacerbate their vulnerability to Covid-19.
Protests currently sweeping the nation show people’s righteous anger over the government's abject failure to end discriminatory and unnecessary policing and deeply entrenched racism across many systems.
It's time the US meaningfully address the injustices fueling the protests and the racially disproportionate suffering from Covid-19.
