Hosting and Traveling Safely with #misterb&b in the Time of COVID-19

Dear misterb&b hosts and guests, As scientists warn the coronavirus COVID-19 hasn’t disappeared, we all need to learn how to live with it, especially while practising one of our favorite activities: traveling. The first results of our recent misterb&b LGBTQ Travel Survey confirm the importance of traveling and connecting for the global LGBTQ community. They also show that most LGBTQ travelers are ready to travel again soon, if they get some reassurance from the hosts. So how can you host or travel safely with the virus still spreading around the world? We have collected ideas from the misterb&b community to increase post-coronavirus guest confidence. These guidelines and recommendations include a lot of cleaning, new house rules, physical distancing, and maybe some edits of the booking conditions. CHECK HOST GUIDELINES CHECK GUEST GUIDELINES . Included in the hosts guidelines is a detailed COVID-19 cleaning protocol we have established for hosts. Hosts are invited to either: follow it and combine it with a 24h period during which bookings are automatically blocked between stays OR, because they can’t or won’t follow this protocol, hosts can instead accept that misterb&b automatically blocks their calendar for 3 days during two stays. Accepting one of these voluntary coronavirus prevention programs will get hosts a special badge displayed on their listing, informing travelers of their efforts to guarantee the highest level of safety. To get the badge and start receiving booking requests again soon, hosts should go to Manage my listings, Edit listing and then COVID-19. Select the option and check the box to certify you have read the cleaning protocol and commit to one option. SELECT MY COVID-19 OPTION One last word to all of you who are a Fabul’host since March 1, 2020: because of the pandemic, we have postponed the next Fabul’host update, due on July 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020.
