A kind passerby spotted Jenna the pony on a Saturday night in Dublin, Ireland. It was clear she was in distress and suffering, so he contacted rescuers. Unfortunately, they couldn't find the poor, tiny pony until Sunday morning due to the dark. When they did find her, they saw that she was covered head to toe in bruises, cuts, and lumps. Unfortunately, her internal injuries were even worse and even after proper care, sweet Jenna passed away on a bed of hay. Witnesses would later confirm that Jenna had been brutally beaten to death and her killers have faced no justice.
Two separate witnesses spotted Jenna's attackers and they both confirmed a tragic truth: Jenna's killers were children. A younger child had been riding atop Jenna, using excessive force and violence. Soon after, an older child was seen beating her with a heavy object. The vet who treated her also confirmed she had been trampled. Clearly, the pony had suffered a horrible nightmare beyond even what was witnessed, and it cost her her life. And obviously the minors responsible for this violent murder need some very serious help immediately if they are to be kept some committing more atrocities in the future.
That's why we are calling on the DSPCA Inspectorate to swiftly find these two kids, and assess the situation so that they can receive the help they so desperately need! We know where the pony was living, and along with witness accounts, it should not be hard to find these individuals. Sign the petition today if you agree.
