The CNT-AIT in the Marina Alta region has called for an international week to support an unpaid wage dispute with the luxury rental company
The Adelante House. Back in December 2019, the company reduced Roxane's working hours by 2 hours a day without notice and proper
documentation, which was to be reflected in lower wages. At that time, she was just on vacation, which she was going through under stress,
and when she returned, the situation became even more complicated. In the article, we explain the cause of the dispute and the company's
reaction and state the possibilities in which solidarity can be epressed.
Problem development
Upon returning from leave, Roxane was informed (again without written proof and the 15-day legal period required for such an adjustment)
that her salary would be reduced by EUR 400 and she would have to go to more than one workplace. The next day, she had a long conversation
with the boss (who was just arguing) about the problem, which resulted in anxiety and led to a long-term PNka. However, Roxana did not want
to give up, and after discussing the whole matter with the union, they decided together to enter into a dispute.

The company's reaction to the union's protests

So far, three protests have taken place. During the first company, Roxan even called the police and did not even protect itself by sending
various threats by e-mail. However, the shares have brought some concessions, although not yet satisfactory. For example, the company called
for an end to the protests and promised to pay off the money owed. However, she only paid out a ridiculous amount, so the shares continue.

How you can help You

will meet next week with the management of the company in order to reach a settlement of the dispute. The CNT-AIT is trying to put as much
pressure as possible on the boss to meet the requirements. Therefore, an international week of events in support of Roxana is taking place
from Monday.

For example, you can join as follows:

     1) Call the company on a number in Spain or Belgium and give your opinion

+34 6531 128 815 Spain
+32 474 629 270 Belgium

     2) Send a protest e-mail to welcome@theadelantehouse.com

CNT-AIT sent us the following English sample link for the company, but you can easily edit it at your own discretion:

Stop taking advantage of workers. No more playing with their health and sustenance.
Adelante Home Costa Services pay what you owe!
An injury to one is an injury to all.

Translation:

Stop abusing workers. Don't mess with their health and livelihood.
Adelante Home Costa Services pay what you owe!
Injustice on one is injustice on all.

In the blind copy, please also include our e-mail zvazpa (at) riseup.net so that we can inform CNT-AIT about the number of people involved.

     3) Write down what the company's practices think of their FB and IG

http://instagram.com/theadelantehouse?igshid=n00iw79qgzmx
http://facebook.com/theadelantehouse

If you can't think of the wording, you can use the email pattern above.
We recommend using the #TheAdelanteHouse hashtag on social networks.

     4) Spread this challenge among the people around you and ask them to get involved too

Thank you in advance for your support!

Pic.: Police throws a member of the Employee Initiative (30/10/2020) ---- Union members of "Inicjatywa Pracowniczej" were arrested by the
police on the highway on their way to the Women's Strike. And so we got to the demonstration in Warsaw! ---- On October 30, the police
detained trade unionists and trade unionists from "Inicjatywa Pracowniczej" on the A2 motorway on their way to a demonstration for access to
legal and free abortion in Warsaw. ---- 5 police cars and a dozen policemen participated in the action of detaining 5 trade unionists
(including 2 representatives of the National Commission of the trade union and 3 persons associated in the Poznan Inter-Enterprise
Commission). Uniformed services also engaged a helicopter to track union cars on the highway, in addition to traffic and prevention units.
In total, the car was stopped 3 times that day. As part of the first inspection, the police listed all the people inside, and in the second,
they searched the trunk and inspected the banners (with the text: Social Congress of Women!

During the third inspection, the police forcibly dragged members of the National Commission and the Poznan Inter-Enterprise Commission from
the car and handcuffed them in the middle of the beltway. One woman was immediately thrown onto the asphalt. They were all taken to the
police station in Pruszków.

Among themselves, the policemen talked about "preventive detention", but none of the detained persons was interrogated, no charges were
brought against anyone, no illegal or dangerous items were found after a thorough search of the car, and no detainee report was obtained.
Our friends were held at the police station for about 3 hours. All persons were tested with a breathalyzer, and the driver additionally with
a narcotic test. They were all sober.
After regaining their freedom, the detained joined the ongoing protest in Warsaw.

The junior aspirant Marcin Lisiecki (no. 915093) and Sergeant Karolina Zak (no. 967066) were responsible for the detention. We will make an
official complaint about the actions of these officers, and we will also seek redress for unjustified detention.
Women's Strike!
Enough of police impunity!
No more repression for union activity!

In recent months, we have witnessed an ever-increasing tension between the Greek and Turkish states on the occasion of the disputes over the
energy reserves of the eastern Mediterranean, but not only. This tension is another episode in the many between the two states in recent
years and which include issues of "national sovereignty" such as territorial waters, the continental shelf, the demilitarization of the
Aegean islands, etc. ---- In recent years in Turkey, under the rule of the AKP and Erdogan, there have been significant changes in its
internal structure and foreign policy. Gradually eliminating the Kemalist tradition of the strictly secular state, the Islamist character is
steadily strengthened and at the same time an attempt is made to formulate an independent policy in the region that treads on religious /
nationalist aggression, internal repression and military empowerment. The US presence and control in the wider region is diminishing and
this creates power gaps which Turkey is trying to fill with this shift. Thus, we have seen Turkey invade Syria and northern Iraq against the
Kurdish rebels, openly support the Islamic State, supply Russian military equipment (to a degree unprecedented for a NATO member state),
secure the EEZ with Libya. in the absence of other states etc. We have also seen Turkey skillfully use migrant movements to exert pressure
and reap economic benefits from the EU. Particularly aggressive moves that reflect the greedy disposition of the Turkish (and any state) for
expansion and control.

On the other hand, the Greek state enters into military and economic agreements with the military junta of Egypt, the apartheid state of
Israel and Cyprus, trying to strengthen their position on the chessboard of the eastern Mediterranean and to control as much of the energy
resources as possible. . Although it does not have the military power of the Turkish, it engages in diplomatic alliances and military
cooperation to compensate for its shortcomings. It upgrades the military cooperation with the USA to an unprecedented level with the
agreement for the expansion of the bases in Araxos, Alexandroupolis, Larissa, Andravida, Stefanovikeio, Souda, while it also plans the
creation of new bases. It sends Patriot forces and missile systems to Saudi Arabia and enters into new war agreements with France. With the
Prespa Agreement, it increases its influence and economic penetration in the Balkans, increases its military presence in Northern Macedonia
and actively contributes to NATO expansion.

The timeless strategy of the system of power and the dominant media is to present the Greek state as a perpetual defender, to have all the
rights on its side and to face a greedy, provocative and irrational neighbor who plots everything. In fact, we have two authoritarian
mechanisms, armed and ready for war, to defend the interests of the privileged on each side of the Aegean, the so-called national interests
which are contrary to the interests of the exploited and oppressed.Because who will benefit from the securing of energy deposits despite the
well-known families of industrialists and shipowners. States do not hesitate to send workers to war slaughterhouses to fight for their
bosses' profits. This is exactly what we are talking about now in the eastern Mediterranean. The workers who will work on the drilling rigs
the day after tomorrow, whatever their origin, will continue to be consumable and exploitable, excluded from decision-making, working at the
risk of their lives to reap the benefits of their bosses.

We do not forget that the Greek and Turkish states are allies within NATO and are in fact its first non-founding members. A military
alliance that for decades intervenes, terrorizes, destroys countries and overthrows regimes that are not to the liking of the powerful
Western states. Both state mechanisms retain some of the largest armies in terms of their financial capability within the alliance and
occasionally offer generous manpower and material means for NATO's disastrous military invasions in the Middle East and beyond.

Developments in the eastern Mediterranean could only be exploited by states to reinforce what they always do. To grow their war machines, to
unite the national body, and to try to integrate a growing part of the society in it, constantly talking about the need for national unity
and solidarity. But the solidarity they are called to is the solidarity between oppressors and the oppressed. In this way they obscure the
reality of class and power divisions, strengthen the imaginary community of the nation in order to perpetuate the privileges of the few.
They sabotage class struggles and present opposition to the war as "treacherous" and reprehensible. The big financial interests of the
military-industrial complex, the fascists and the respective government, benefit from this.

As in Turkey, so in Greece various occasions are used to reinforce nationalism and pseudo-segregation between the exploiters. The recent
Prespa agreement was a very typical case. State, parties, media and church indulged in nationalist delusion on the occasion of the
"Macedonian issue". All the late "anti-fascists" today coexisted with the fascists of the golden dawn and the rest of the far right selling
nationalism. Left, Right and fascists competed to see who would prevail in patriotism. And this for an agreement that serves the penetration
of Greek businessmen in Macedonia and the expansion of NATO.

Another such occasion was the wave of immigrants at the Greek-Turkish border, which the state dealt with with an iron fist. Baptizing the
psyche and inhumanity as a fair fight to defend the borders. Defending against unarmed people including many children. With paramilitaries
chasing and shooting unarmed migrants under the tolerance and protection of security forces. We witnessed a campaign of national uplift on
the backs of the weakest people. Caravans to accompany the news reports and to proudly declare that they are protecting the borders and "our
lands" as young Leonids or warriors of the '40s. Journalists to praise the fighting spirit and the "mental strength" of "our lads" in Evros.
The reversal of reality in all its glory.

Right-wing state administrators, through the prime minister, are again talking about necessary sacrifices for the armed forces.
Provocatively, the unprecedented agreement with France is announced, which amounts to more than 6 billion euros for the purchase of 18
fighter jets and 4 frigates. At the moment when the state hits with the MAT the health workers who ask for recruitments in the middle of a
pandemic, the recruitment of 15,000 professional executives in the army is announced. At a time when students through squatters and teachers
have been fighting for years for education recruitment, cleaner recruitment and more rooms for protection from Covid19, horrific amounts of
war spending are being announced to defend the nation. In addition to the effort to develop the electoral base of ND, the ever-increasing
recruitment in the security forces are steps in the increasing militarization of society. Militarization that reached its peak with the
police / military management of the covid pandemic19.

Of particular interest is the debate on conscription at 18 and an increase in service in the army. This measure makes it clear that the
government is trying to seize the youth as soon as possible in order to imprison them in the barracks and to nurture them in the national
ideals before it manages to be exposed to liberating and emancipatory ideas.Their priority is to subdue the youth, to make them as
submissive and servile as possible to the orders of power, ready to obey the employer, to tolerate exploitation and exploitation tomorrow as
it tolerates and obeys the orders today. They want to familiarize her with the physical barracks from an early age in order to accept the
extension of militarization in everyday life, exit justification papers, traffic bans. In addition, by enlisting at 18 they want to reduce
the huge unemployment rates, especially among young people. So the system that does not allow a huge part of the society to make a living
forces the young people to work as a "duty".

We have said, we say and we will say that the unity of the swindlers is national. The oppressed and exploited on both sides of the Aegean
have nothing to gain from alliance with the privileged class. We must refuse to cooperate with state mechanisms that are only interested in
the interests of the few. To quell our opposition to national wars and the military. The only battle that makes sense to us is that against
the state, capitalism and all power.

Struggle against nationalism, fascism, intolerance and the wars of the rulers, for the overthrow of state and capitalist barbarism, for the
social revolution, for anarchy and communism.

We are not fighting for any master / state / god.

War in the war of the bosses.

In Greece, Turkey, Macedonia the enemy is in the banks and ministries.

This article first appeared in The Anvil Vol 9 No 5, published on 31/10/2020. ---- Credit: Washington Monthly ---- As we go to press, the US
Presidential election is fast approaching. Joe Biden, the Democratic candidate, is further ahead in the polls than Hillary Clinton was four
years ago and his lead is pretty stable. Trump can only win by either a massive last-minute shift in opinion or by undemocratic means. These
could include the Electoral College, semi-legal methods of voter suppression or an outright illegal refusal to count postal votes. So many
conventions of US politics have been broken in recent years that we hesitate to rule out any scenario as impossible. There is even
discussion about whether Trump would be prepared to recognise an election in which he was defeated.

With our limited resources, picking a winner would be a mug's game, so we will reflect on the meaning of the election and the point at which
US society finds itself. The Melbourne Anarchist Communist Group believes it is impossible to hold executive office in the capitalist state
on a principled basis. Being President of the USA involves being Commander-in-Chief of the world's most powerful imperialist military,
maintaining a deadly repressive domestic and foreign security apparatus and administering myriad unjust laws. You could institute the
world's most thorough reform program, but you'd still be committing crimes 24 hours a day. It is impossible to ever support any candidate
for US President, even one whom it might be permissible to support for election to a legislative body.

Donald Trump was elected in 2016 because five decades of neoliberalism had produced the worst inequality in the US in over a century. Far
from reversing inequality, Trump has aggravated it and the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated even further the transfer of wealth to the very
richest. Simultaneously, Trump is incrementally abolishing the checks and balances within capitalist democracy that protect it from open
dictatorship. Meanwhile, Joe Biden is promising to be "a normal President" - i.e. to continue the same policies that created the conditions
for Trump to be elected. Neither candidate offers anything to the working class.

The current situation is unsustainable. The balance of power between capitalists and workers is so uneven that US inequality will increase
until the working class revolts and builds powerful new organisations. Until then, the sectors of the population who have a stake in the
system will progressively reduce. The political centre will continue to dissolve. Society will polarise into Left and Right and, at some
point, a showdown will occur.

What should Anarchists do?

The task of Anarchists in the United States is to build the struggle of the multi-racial, multicultural and gender diverse working class
against poverty and against racism, sexism and all other oppressons. If Biden wins, the growing Fascist movement in the US will react with
great violence, though perhaps not immediately. If Trump wins, his re-election will be greeted with rage by a growing grassroots movement
that already rejects US institutions as illegitimate. The need for revolutionary struggle will be more obvious.

In either case, it is by building working class struggle that the threat of Fascism will be best addressed. Struggle against a re-elected
Trump would be necessary as he accelerates the class polarisation of society and moves further towards dictatorship. Struggle against a
President Biden would explode the poisonous identification of the Left with the Democratic Party that Republicans make and from which
Fascists benefit.

The United States is headed for a crisis which, one way or another, will destroy it as the sole super-power. A vote for neither candidate
would change that for the better. Only the working class can save the US from Fascism and war. And this can only be done by destroying the
United States in a workers' revolution.

NO TRUMP

NO WALL

NO USA AT ALL

Picture: Employee Initiative at a demonstration against the ban on abortion (Warsaw, October 30, 2020) ---- If the National Women's Strike
is limited to the postulate regarding the right to abortion, it will not bring about permanent systemic changes beneficial for women. That
is why OSK's taking up social issues should be read as absolutely necessary. It is good that a step has been taken in this direction. Too
bad it's so modest. ---- It is an obvious cliche to say that women earn less than men - on average 20%. The distribution of homework, care
work, etc. means that they not only have lower wages (because unfortunately you do not pay for home work), but also have a greater burden of
obligations. They work two jobs. However, it should be emphasized that the consequence of the economic situation of women is their weak
influence on the applicable law, as well as a very limited participation in the bodies making key political decisions. They are still a
decided minority.

There can be no effective political struggle unless it is well-grounded and grows from social ground. The economic independence of women is
a key issue here. Women have been fighting for this for a long time. Historically, the system at that time was more likely to yield on
political (eg voting) or even legal issues than on economic grounds. And that is why political gains were impermanent, of which the
situation of women in Poland is the best example today.

At the same time, it is not just about the wage inequality between women and men. They are only a statistical expression of a more complex
phenomenon of labor market segmentation. Women work not only in less-paid sectors, but also those considered less (less and less)
prestigious. They are also sectors and jobs subordinated to the structure of the economic division of power and gender. These inequalities
are also perfectly visible within individual professions.

In this context, the positioning of OSK's social and economic postulates against other demands is disappointing. It is clear that they are
assigned a lower rank in relation to political and reproductive postulates. And most importantly, they are extremely modest. The strongest
of these seems to be equal pay regardless of gender. The only question is how to understand this equality? The pay gap between men and women
in the same positions is often not great anymore. However, labor market segmentation and the structure of economic power are crucial. For
wage equality to become a reality, fundamental changes are needed in our economic system and work organization.

Other demands, such as the issue of enforcement and the amount of alimony, old age pension insurance, "real social security for families of
people with disabilities", although definitely correct, not only do not exhaust the catalog of necessary changes, but only affect their
obvious margin.

Social demands must go much further. Among the postulates of OSK, there was not the need, so clearly raised by the trade unions, to
eliminate employment under "junk contracts" and through temporary employment agencies from the labor market. Unstable and "junk" forms of
work in a number of sectors (especially in services, logistics, trade) hit primarily women. Another issue is the reduction of working hours
to 7 hours a day without lowering the salary.

In terms of tenants, the most important thing is to create a real alternative to the private rental market for high-priced apartments and to
fight rent debt and mass evictions, of which women often fall. Municipal and social housing must be revived, because urgent housing needs in
Poland are estimated at at least half a million apartments.

Finally, one last thing, but not the least: existing social gains must not be affected, including the latter. The money from the 500 plus
program goes largely to women. It must be maintained, although, of course, public forms of childcare should be developed in parallel. The
retirement age for women should also be kept at 60, while securing minimum pensions at least at the minimum wage. On the other hand, it is
advisable to systematically raise the minimum wage and to increase the share of wages in GDP in general.

If the economic postulates do not become the key, most important demands of the Women's Strike, then any potential political gains of the
current protests will be a finger on the water. In addition, under the threat of the use of force by the state and under the pressure of
growing problems related to the development of the coronavirus pandemic, the fight should move to workplaces. They will function anyway. The
women's strike must become a social and labor strike in order to be successful in the long run.
