 Last weekend, various protests from the climate movement took place around the

Munich "International Motor Show" (IAA). The IAA is the annual advertising show
of the auto companies and the politics that support it. A number of activists
were mobilized from all over the republic who took part in actions before, during
and, above all, against the motor show. Meanwhile, the city of Munich paralyzed
parts of the city for the stands of the car lobby, and bicycle traffic in
particular suffered as a result. As part of the actions, not only activists
experienced massive repression, but also ordinary people who were out on their
bikes. Be it ridiculous expulsion for cycling in the squares where the IAA took
place, or blunt violence against the activists: inside.

The state was truly not afraid to reveal its alliance with (auto) capital again
and again. The IAA is a pitiful attempt by the automobile companies to keep the
car relevant for the next few decades by green washing it and simply not putting
the isolation of people in the neighborhoods through the expansion of motorways
up for debate.

We know that the car as the main means of transport, especially in urban areas,
has no future, neither for the climate nor for the cohesion of our neighborhoods,
where concrete desert is created by eight-lane streets and parking lots, where
living space is created Around the single-family house and the car emerge, parks,
playgrounds, places of coexistence and common leisure activities are being
displaced. Our alternative to the future "vision" of the car lobby consisting of
millions of e-cars on the streets is well-developed, free of charge,
environmentally friendly local public transport under the control of the workers.
And all of this in cities and villages that we self-administer from below from
our neighborhoods. We therefore show solidarity with the activists: inside and
with all people,
