Against State, Capitalist, Patriarchal Barbarism, Repression and Social Emphasis
We do not forget - We do not forgive the murder of Zak Costopoulos / Zackie-oh!---- On September 21, 2018, Zak Costopoulos is murdered at noon in the center of
Athens, in Omonia. Trapped inside a jewelry store where he has taken refuge,
while a little earlier he was shouting "help" in the street, he is lynched by the
boss-owner of the store and a fascist who maintains a real estate office in the
area. The two of them kick him furiously in the head, while he is trying
helplessly to free himself, while a crowd is around them. The police arrive to
complete the crime - they hit him covered in blood and fell to the ground,
arrested him, handcuffed him and dragged him to the street. He is taken to the
hospital tied up and dead.
In the face of Jacques they see a poor, an outcast, an outcast, a user, a
potential thief - a life that the state capitalist and patriarchal system
repeatedly prescribes as a "threat" to order and security, a life that costs the
negligible , which methodically legitimizes its extermination. Zack's killers do
not hesitate to try him and sentence him to death "taking the law into their own
hands", moving within the framework of the dominant orders as parastatal lackeys
- a thief-pawnbroker who feeds on the despair of others, a declared fascist and
the uniformed murderers and torturers of ELAS.
Because the violence they committed has the cover of official law, the support of
the institutional barbarism of the regime: the demonization of poverty, the
hunting and punishment of the weak in the class and social hierarchy, the
sanctity of property, so as to safeguard its interests domination and its social
reproduction. And it is this violence organized from above by the Power that
allows them to kill in fear, because they move within the framework of the
dominant orders as parastatal lackeys.

as an organic part of it, promotes and exacerbates patriarchal violence, the
uniformed scum of which, having it as an official and proclaimed policy, indulges
in sexist and homophobic attacks, threats and harassment in the departments, on
the street, in the concentration camps. , prisons and borders, beat and torture
protesters, disguise rapists, get involved and operate in trafficking circuits.
The completion of three years since Jacques's assassination comes in an
environment where the state capitalist system in its deep crisis - economic,
social, health crisis - unleashes a new round of looting of the social base. The
political management of New Democracy, while already counting thousands of deaths
under its rule, tries at every opportunity to use the pandemic to attack even
more fiercely the underdogs, the poor, the excluded and those who resist the
imposition of modern totalitarianism. From the further devaluation of labor, the
de facto abolition of social security and the 8-hour period, the continuation of
privatizations, to the restructuring of the education system and the
criminalization of trade union action. From the perpetuation of the Emergency
Regime through the suppression and subjugation of social and class movements and
especially the anarchist-anti-authoritarians, the police occupation of entire
areas to the prohibition of demonstrations and the general upgrade of the legal
arsenal at the expense of militants. From patriarchal violence - the abuse and
murder of women - and social cannibalism that are promoted, rewarded, and
ultimately laundered by the state mechanisms and dominant values themselves to
the escalation of the war against refugees and immigrants, the struggle their
disappearance from the public sphere, their confinement in concentration camps
until the looting of the natural world,
Zak's killers, the police, the judiciary, the media who rushed to cover up and
justify the murder, constructing consensus, misinforming, presenting him as
dangerous, dogging his life and identity as an HIV-positive member of the LGBTQI
community activist, as well as those who applaud the authoritarian barbarism,
identifying with the interests of the powerful, in fact represent what the most
anti-social has to do with the decay of the world of Power.
On the other hand, the thousands protesting against Jacques's assassination by
demanding visibility in public and blocking cannibalistic rhetoric, those who in
any way refuse to consent and submit to the dominant cannibalism project of the
social cannibalism to defend what belongs to them, all those who put up barriers
to state repression and fight for the counterattack to the regime of exploitation
and subjugation, represent the most promising thing this society has to show:
solidarity, revolt, the prospect of social revolution, for a world that will fit
many worlds.
As anarchists we fight for the intensification of social and class resistance,
with the aim of overthrowing the political and economic bosses responsible for
exploitation, oppression, poverty, impoverishment, social cannibalism. With our
weapon of solidarity, we stand against false divisions and the fear that power
constantly reproduces. We fight for overcoming the imposed way of organizing
society by the state and capital.
