State violence against people seeking refuge has crossed another frontier! We
demand responsibility on the part of those who give the orders, as a result ofwhich more people lose their lives every day. ---- Today we only know about a few
fatal cases. During the night, the Border Guard ordered the discharge of two
people from the hospital who sought protection along with a deceased Iraqi
citizen. The death of an Iraqi citizen was not a result of hypothermia, but was
the result of political decisions and orders. We ask a question about who will
make the burial and inform the families of those who died at the border. We
demand the responsibility of specific people! Blocking information means that we
do not know if there were more similar deaths!

This is a quote sent yesterday by one of the inhabitants of the area near the
Emergency State belt to the Granica Group. As you can see, despite the psychosis
of fear by decision-makers, humanitarian reflexes have not disappeared in the
people closest to them. Unfortunately, they themselves will not overcome the
state's policy based on war rhetoric and barbed wire entanglements.
The announcement of the state of emergency in Poland on September 2 this year was
a decision dictated primarily by the desire to prevent the actions of lawyers and
lawyers, the media, non-governmental organizations and activists performing work
related to monitoring and documentation, i.e. looking at the hands of the
authorities. The authorities gave up taking responsibility for political and
military participation in hostilities in both Afghanistan and Iraq. These actions
have contributed and are contributing to destabilization in the entire region and
must result in the desire for refuge by people who do not want to be victims of
hostilities and political persecution.
Instead of solutions consisting in creating safe migration routes and systems of
protection against smugglers, people are thrown into their hands. A state that
breaks the Geneva Convention and passes subsequent legal changes "legalizing" the
policy of the so-called push-backs (pushing people who have crossed the border
out of the country) only reveals their own powerlessness in the face of refugee
problems. The use of a policy of violence and barbed wire against refugees may
only be a harbinger of the ease with which political decision-makers reach for
such solutions against their own citizens. We can already see how the government
ignores the problems of health care, attacks women's rights, and allows police
violence. The fact that even the leader of the allegedly opposing party uses the
rhetoric of "sealing the borders" may also cause fear,
We do not agree to this form of policy and further action against refugees. They
can only result in an increase in the number of victims. Polish authorities,
decision-makers, but also officers of uniformed services must be aware that they
bear full responsibility for the current and subsequent victims of the border policy.
