Today, as the authorities try to erase the imprints of decades of hard and bloody
social and class struggles, attempting to completely overthrow any remainingconquests, as they were formed during the post-revolutionary period, it is moreobvious than ever that the Polytechnic uprising did not was the end but thebeginning of a long series of mobilizations, conflicts and uprisings of the mostradical sections of society. From the student sieges of 1991, the great anti-wardemonstrations of 2002-03, the student mobilizations of 2006-07, to the socialand class uprising of December '08 and the great mobilizations of 2010-12 theprojects of the insurgents of '73 have been and are timeless issues that breatheincessantly in the heart of the games.Against the distortion of the meanings of the Polytechnic uprising by the lackeysof the state in order to build the ideological foundation of the post-politicalperiod, about the "victory of democracy", the very reality that denies themstands. The poverty and misery of the oppressed, the exclusion of large sectionsof society from access to basic social goods, the torture, beatings and arrestsof activists never stopped. The struggles of the insurgents have not beenvindicated so far. Freedom still remains to be won and there is only one way inthis direction.
