#WORLD #WORLDWIDE #ARGENTINA #ANARCHISM #News #Journal #Update - (en) #Argentina, ASL: NOT AT 40 HS IN THE LIBERADXS PATRONAGE! (ca, de, it, fr, pt)[machine translation]

In recent weeks, a serious conflict began in the Patronato de Liberadxs de la

Provincia de Buenos Aires that affects the employment situation of manycolleagues, who see how the State, in complicity with the provincial leadershipof Ate, tries to take away rights won in historical struggles. ---- The Patronatode Liberadxs is an autarkic body that aims to supervise and work for theinclusion of people deprived of their liberty. There is a part that works inpre-discharge, before people leave, to take into account how their departure willbe, if it will be received by the family, for example. It is an organization thathas very few social programs to deal with very strong, hard problems ofstructural exclusion. It includes people who come out of jail or people who arein conflict with criminal law, who may be at liberty, fulfilling a judicialprocess or community tasks. The board of trustees has to send reports to thecourts on the rules of conduct that have been set for these people and also seewhat demands are arising from the people from the bond that is being established. To delve into the particularities of the situation, we spoke with our colleagueRomina, delegate from the Moreno Board of Trustees, who answered some questions, also telling us about the perspectives of organization and struggle among theworkers. What is the conflict in the Patronato de Liberadxs? We have been seeing that in other offices in La Plata and in other work sectorsthey were implementing a pass of 30 to 40 hours of work. We were informed aboutit and right from the start we found out that there was a joint union with theunion where this issue was going to be discussed, the passing of the hourlyregime and the removal of the bonus for special task that we won many years ago. From there, coordination began with the internal Human Rights Board of La Platato try to prevent this pass, which in the Board of Trustees we understand as ablow to the entire working class. Because more hours of work is not an increasein salary. It is worsening the working conditions of the working class, they arejobs that are lost, in a country where there are a lot of unemployment. Itdisrupts the daily life of the companions especially, who have care tasks and whohave many tasks at home after work. And even colleagues who have several jobs, because they do not make ends meet and are heads of household. The rejection is strong at those forty hours because it generates a lot ofdiscomfort in the daily lives of the workers, an overexploitation. In addition, health care is not taken into account, because working with social problems formany years and really very hard, ends up having an impact on the health of theworkers as well. In this way, the quality of care decreases depending on thedegree of exploitation. For all these reasons, this coordination with Human Rights began, trying to stopthis regime change. In what way have they been organizing to deepen the conflict and strengthen unityin the struggle? In the patronage punctually, as we are in each district of the entire Province ofBuenos Aires, there are 90 delegations. What we do is meet virtually, havevirtual assemblies of workers and there define the steps to follow. As I saidbefore, we came in coordination with Human Rights, but beyond that, we are tryingto strengthen ourselves from within. We want to reach the delegations that we arenot able to, because we do not have the sections of the union in which we areorganized to reach all the offices. So we are working on this.We held an assembly with the sectors that had already gone through this so thatthe comrades could ask questions. In the middle of that assembly, we learned thatthe union was going to a joint union with a position favorable to regime change, without consulting us. That made us immediately have to go out the next day, goto the Ministry of Labor and present a note calling for the strike for thefollowing week, formally rejecting the 40 hours, understanding that this worsensthe living conditions of workers. What role is the union playing in the development of the situation? When we talk about the union, we make a caveat. We refer to the role of theprovincial leadership of Ate. Because we are also Ate, we are delegates, affiliates, an organic part of the union. We always try to stay within thatmargin and also with degrees of autonomy, since we are not nucleades in aninternal Board. We have a provincial plenary that we build ourselves, from below. It was very resisted by the union, but we managed to impose it at that historicalmoment. In the context of the pandemic, this instance has been slowed down quite a bit,but not only for that reason, but because obviously the regime change has beenweaving and they (the leadership of La Verde Anusate of the Province of BuenosAires) have been reading that we were going to be against what was beingpromoted. So they directly sat down to sign with the employers, withoutconsulting the delegates or the rank and file or anyone in the sector. Theyjustified themselves by saying that there are sectors of the Ministry of Justicethat agree, but nobody consulted us anything. So we absolutely reject it. We leftthe union a note rebuking the people who act as a link between the union and themanagement, because obviously they have personal positions or those of theunion's leadership, but not those of the workers and at least in our logic it hasto be in a representative position from the position of those who are going towork and put the body, the head and wear ourselves in this work for many years. On the other hand, it has an absolutely managerial, undemocratic, authoritarianand bureaucratic role, because not allowing the space that we win with struggleto be a transmission belt of what has been happening in our work sector, is thatof a bureaucrat. And that seems reprehensible to me, a union like Ate cannot havethose policies, it ends up being more similar to Upcn. They have the problem that where they go and tell lies, we communicate and findout right away. In Mar del Plata they said that we were in an assembly andapproved the 40 hours. In San Nicolás they also stated that we agreed. We arefinding out and we say to them that no, that it is a lie. That is not liars andmisogynists, because they think we are assholes because we are women. What tasks have you been carrying out to strengthen the development of awarenessand self-management among workers? What we have been doing, on the one hand, is to strengthen the provincialassemblies: we have a provincial WhatsApp group, shared networks to spread theword, we try to link what happens here in the small with the board of trustees, relating it to what happens at a more macro level. , understanding that this ispart of the adjustment, of the IMF plan, that the reduction in public policy hasto do with that. And that we increase our working hours, implies that fewerworkers have a job. In this sense, we are working on the awareness and importanceof the participation of all colleagues affected by the situation, because eachvoice is irreplaceable in each workplace, in each office. We can lose, win, butwhat cannot be replaced is that being, inhabiting each comrade in theirworkplace, in the transmission with their comrades, in the collective decisionwith them and with the rest of the Province. That gives us the awareness of thestrength of a body that makes decisions. And we have a lot of history behind us:we have passed the femicide of our partner, the bonus that they want to get fromus is earned by occupying the board of trustees, the Ministry of the Economy. Wecome from an exercise that is in the consciousness of the compas. So there is a historical process that we were and are part of, we have itinternalized. And we know how things change when we get involved or how they donot change when we leave it to the leadership of a union that is becoming moreand more bureaucratized. The commitments they have with the governance structurerather than with workers are increasingly being noted. We did have the presence in the last activity we did, in tower two, where theoffices of justice and the Board of Trustees are located, of Nora Quercia, general secretary of Ate Lomas de Zamora. Few sections are committed but they arevery valuable, because they are our pillar to help us give that framework that wewant, which is that we are Ate. We are not the direction of Ate that appears onthe papers, but we are the ones who direct the destinies in our work and in ourdaily lives. We are that force and we rely on colleagues who think and build likeus. I want to mention it because it is a minority within Ate but they are veryvaluable experiences for the class. For more information and an update on the conflict:https://www.facebook.com/1380295268961314/posts/3213949522262537/https://www.facebook.com/AccionSocialistaLibertaria/posts/1370945116656855_________________________________________A - I N F O S  N E W S  S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.ca
