We were left with yourvictory in the industrial tribunal ... ---- Sophie: In 2017, after seven years ofprecariousness, the court we (Assia, Cindy, Virginie Marion and me) finally wonthe case by ordering People & Baby to pay us compensation. Finally, it wasrecognition for us of the trade union discrimination that we had suffered when wehad just joined the CNT to demand better working conditions and denounce theprivatization of early childhood.This summer, on appeal, the company, against all expectations, obtained theannulment of the industrial tribunal judgment. We must now return theseindemnities obtained in compensation for the financial and moral damage sufferedeleven years earlier, ie 26,000 to 45,000 euros each, in total 145,000 eurosincluding the costs of bailiffs ! We had to deal with a bourgeois justicerepresented by a judge who swept our file aside, preferring employer logorrhea tothe blatant elements reported by the labor inspectorate.AL: How do you see the future ?Sophie: Concretely, our priority is to return this sum, on which crazy interestsrun, and to win in cassation so that it stops: it will be eleven years that acompany makes us pay for the simple fact of us being unionized, and for going onstrike. At the same time, we continue to denounce the privatization and thedeterioration of working conditions in early childhood.AL: Considering the pitfalls, do you ever regret having set up this union section?Sophie: No Even today, none of my comrades nor I regret this choice, even if wehave suffered from all that. We remain very united, and we know that the enemy tobe defeated is the employers.
