Traumatized dogs and cats arrive 24-hours a day. Pleasehelp us set up an adaptation center to give Ukraine’s refugee animals the care and love they need!

Please donate now

Dear friends,

Since the start of the war in Ukraine, with our help, our Polish partner Foundation ADA (FADA) has been taking in tragically abandoned dogs and cats. Many were once-loved pets left behind as people fled for their lives - others are shell-shocked street animals who had to fend for themselves during bomb blasts and flying bullets.

As the war has progressed, animals arrive in increasingly bad condition: dogs and cats are starving, injured and totally traumatized. One thing is clear: it will be a long and difficult road to recovery for these poor animals, but we and FADA are committed to helping them.
A 24-hour adaptation center will give grief-stricken and traumatized animals the care and treatment they urgently need, and warm, welcoming arms to hold them and love them.
Please, will you help us create the center - as quickly as possible?
Please donate now
This center, for refugee animals evacuated from Ukraine to Medyka on the Polish border, is FADA’s most urgent need. Animals arrive day and night; no matter what time they arrive, they must be treated, comforted and loved.

The center will be run by animal experts and have dedicated treatment zones, comfortable areas for the animals to stay while they recover and even an area for FADA staff to sleep so that the animals can always be given constant love and affection as they heal. The sleeping area will also ensure that no matter what time of day or night distressed animals arrive, there will be someone to welcome them and give them immediate treatment and comfort.

Many of these animals survived abandonment by their beloved families and days of terror on the streets, where they battled hunger and injury, and dodged missiles and cruel Russian soldiers. Some are truly broken. This adaptation center is the very least they deserve as they try to recover from the devastation they’ve experienced
We have identified a building and are ready to start the conversion into an adaptation center as soon as we raise the funds. Please, can you help us today?
Please donate now
We must not delay! Right now, FADA is doing the very best it can with the resources it has, but it is struggling because it had to expand so quickly because of the war. We have already provided an emergency cattery, and now we desperately need to create this center for dogs who so greatly need comfort, love and care right now - we’re reaching out to you because we know you’ll agree and want to help.

If you donate today, we promise to start work on this center right away. We can set it up in just a day and get the animals in as fast as possible. Please, donate right away and help us bring a little hope to the hellish lives these animals have experienced during the war.
Please donate now
Our partners on the ground in Ukraine continue to rescue hundreds of dogs and cats daily. Help us give these animals all the chance to heal and be adopted one day.
Please help us support their recovery and
keep them safe!

Thanks to your continued support during this tragic time, we have been able to ensure that animals in some of the worst-hit areas of Ukraine have had full bellies and care. Here is a quick update on your donations at work
  • Oksana Zhurba of Ecoprotection of Starokostyantyniv (EPS) says there has been no shellings in the Khmelnytskyi region since March 5, but there are many more abandoned animals and hundreds have been taken to its shelter. Wonderfully, they’ve found families for 20 dogs in the past 3 days alone. Your donations are helping them to construct additional kennels to take in more dogs
  • Vetmarket Pluriton, which has to conduct mercy missions between bombings, managed to travel to the village of Babentsi and rescue dogs there.
  • Anzhela Sheveleva, of the Animal Guardian Program, says many of those caring for abandoned animals are disabled or elderly pensioners who have been unable to flee. Some survive on a monthly pension of between $55 (£42) and $77 (£59), and yet find it in their hearts to pay for dog and cat food for homeless animals. These animal guardians - everyday people - remain in Donbas facing heavy bombardment every day. Azhhela says every day is “hellish hell” and that it’s a “miracle” any animals survive. Anzhela and her guardians continue to use our donations to feed, treat, rescue and save these wretched animals from the obliterated streets.
YOUR compassion is enormously helping Ukraine’s animals. Without help, they would be doomed - your support has saved SO MANY ANIMAL LIVES!
Since the start of the war, we (YOU!) have helped to feed, treat, evacuate and save thousands of animals from war-torn Ukraine.
The adaptation center is another vital piece of animal care, and your donation will help create it.
Please, Help us give these desperate animals the love and kindness they deserve after all they’ve endured. They didn’t ask to be left to fend for themselves in a war, they are truly voiceless, helpless victims. Anything you donate will be gratefully received by these innocent animals, who ask for nothing but a warm place to sleep, food in their bellies, and a little love during an awful time of war.

For the animals,

Broken promises and OUTRIGHT LIES leave street dogs in PERIL! 7

P.S. Our ambulances continue to work 24-hours a day taking animals from Ukraine to safety in Poland. One day we hope they will experience the warmth and comfort of a loving family home. But right now, we and animal lovers like you are their best hope. Please, donate right now and help us give these poor creatures a second chance at life!
