Social, economic and health crises lead to an increase in the cost of living, and
because employers always want to make a profit on the backs of those who runsociety: wages stagnate. Faced with this situation which affects all workers, interprofessional strike days are organized, they make it possible to createsolidarity and unity among workers while blocking the country on a greater scale. As students or high school students, we can ask ourselves the question of therelevance of our participation in these strikes, yet our place in the broadinterprofessional struggles alongside workers and all that is more legitimate. The myth of the university and emancipatory schooling no longer fools anyone, ourtraining in high school and then in higher education aims to condition us for thelabor market where we will be treated like commodities. And it is in this worldof work that the inter-professional strikes take place, the reforms that fall onthe employees of today we will touch tomorrow once in employment. These strikesalso concern themes such as inflation (increase in prices, gas, fuel, basicnecessities, etc.) which affect us as immediately as we live with our family orin our own apartment, the students in this cases are all the more affected by theprecariousness that strikes them. An increase in gross wages, as demanded by thestruggle unions, would also make it possible to impose an increase in employercontributions in favor of our social security, the one from which we have allbenefited, in particular during the pandemic, but which is undermined by a deadlycapitalist system. It should also be noted that all students employed in parallelwith their studies, or enrolled in work-study training are immediately affectedby the attacks targeting the world of work, having already had a foot in it.But all areas of training are concerned, the world of work and that of studiesare not separated, the latter adapting to the other. Indeed teaching, teachingmethods and investments in certain sectors rather than others are determinedaccording to the job market, the goal of our training is profitability whichleads to budget cuts, an absence massive investment from the public giving way toa private sector which rules, an increase in registration fees and an increase inselection. The objective being to move towards an elite and paying university, therefore open to children from the most affluent layers of the population, ascheme that accompanies that of the management of public services as a business. To defend public services, social security, our salaries, a free and emancipatoryuniversity and simply to demand a right to dignity, to feed, house and dressproperly and therefore get out of precariousness: it is vital for us as students-es and high school students to join interprofessional strikes, to take a placethat is ours and to make our demands heard!More defending our specific rights in our places of study while creatinginterprofessional solidarity, investment in student unions that are part ofunions in the world of work is also vital, it is all and all together that mustfight!Youth Commission, March 28, 2022.https://www.unioncommunistelibertaire.org/?Pourquoi-les-etudiant-es-et-lyceen-nes-doivent-rejoindre-les-greves-des_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.caSPREAD THE INFORMATION
