 Dear friends,

We have just come back from Budapest where we met with our Hungarian partners, who have worked relentlessly to defeat Orbán and his hateful referendum, which calls for the public approval of anti-LGBT+ legislation banning any LGBT+ content in schools and on television.

Thanks to the continuous support of All Out members around the world, we were able to help them with the final sprint of their campaign to invalidate the anti-LGBT+ referendum.

Last Wednesday – only a couple of days before the elections in Hungary – we illuminated the National Assembly Office Building on the Danube River bank, to let Hungarians know how they can fight Orbán's hateful politics.

And it worked! Hungarian citizens did not fall for Orbán's despicable referendum. They invalidated the ballot questions by saying no to hate and LGBTphobia.

But Orbán and his political party are still in power. That means the European Union must speed up the process and make sure the Hungarian government retracts the harmful anti-LGBT+ law.
