In recent years in Greece we have seen the implementation of a well-orchestrated
plan for the maintenance and promotion of gender-based violence withprotagonists: state, media, judiciary, church. The monster of patriarchy led bythe aforementioned pillars of power has reached its zenith. The examples arecountless. From the increased rates of complaints of abusive behavior, especiallyduring the quarantine period, to the dozens of murders, countless rapes, attackson trans people, trafficking circuits, the revelation of pimping networks, society is haunted by patriarchal violence. At the same time, the "moralperpetrators" of this treaty are very well camouflaged and go so far as tobrazenly ridicule society by promoting themselves as defenders of gender equality. The most recent example that confirms the good cooperation of financial elites, police, judiciary and media is the case of 24-year-old Georgia. Let's take a lookback at the case. On New Year's Eve, prominent members of the city's society tookadvantage of both their masculine and class privileges to assert their authorityover a woman's body. The rape of Georgia by a gang of well-to-do pests and whatfollowed exposed the whole rot of Thessaloniki and the whole country.Get rid of the "good guys", the "successful" and the "self-made". He exposed thelegal vulgarity, as the lawyer of the perpetrators and (suspended) member ofSYRIZA threatened and attacked Georgia. Get rid of the lifestyle parasitism ofthe so-called "influencers" and TV stars. He revealed that all of them are justthe prominent face of the mafia. Finally, he brought to light a whole circuit ofrapists and swindlers who are covered behind the lights of the "big life".Of course, it would be very convenient to believe that these are phenomena thatconcern the (legal and illegal) bourgeoisie and its attendants. But the realityis different. Gender-based violence, rape and murder are not just for the rich. They are phenomena that are observed throughout the social body, regardless ofthe class position of the perpetrators. However, they all have in common theperception of the body and other people as an extension of their property and thestruggle for domination and power over the weak.It would also be very convenient emotionally to say that this is how society hasbecome and that this did not happen in the past. No, this is a huge lie. Thesewere ALWAYS happening, things might have been worse in the past. What has changedis that now the victims have started talking and defending their position andthat a large part of society has swelled up and supported them.https://libertasalonica.wordpress.com_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.caSPREAD THE INFORMATION
