Last year the forum was attended bycapitalists and politicians from sixty countries, this year - from forty. Yes,these forty include delegations from the Taliban, the DPR, the LPR and the like,but the fact is that the West has not yet succeeded in achieving internationalisolation of Russia. ---- Rather, the fact that 140-million-strong Russia gotinvolved in a war with Ukraine is a gift to all the other "rogue countries."Which the United States and its allies previously excluded from their system ofworld order for various reasons. Previously, the largest such country was Iran -its population does not reach 90 million.Now Russia, Iran, Venezuela, North Korea, Myanmar, Afghanistan, Belarus, Eritrea- this is more than three hundred million people. A completely viableinternational alliance of ghouls, capable of providing for each other's needs,lobbying for common interests on the world stage.As anarchists, we are not at all enthusiastic about the "Euro-American world." Ina recent example, the UK Home Secretary approved the extradition of JulianAssange to the United States, where he faces a 175-year prison sentence fordisseminating information. But in the alliances that China and Turkey arebuilding around themselves, the "rogue states" of the state's arbitrariness inrelation to people is even greater.Delicious, period?One of the most discussed topics of recent weeks has been the rebranding of theRussian McDonald's. Judging by the publications in the media, the restaurantchain was transferred to one of the Russian partners, but in such a way thatMcDonald's could return when it wants.The story of Fanta comes to mind here: this drink was invented by the Germanbranch of Coca-Cola, when, after Hitler came to power, an American corporationfound it impossible to work in Germany. After the defeat of the Third Reich, theGerman branch reunited with the Americans, and Fanta entered the corporation'sgeneral line of drinks.Now in Russia, McDonald's will be called "Tasty and Point", the name has becomethe subject of a large number of jokes in social networks. These jokes are areflection of Russians' concern about what kind of world they will live in in thenear future.Since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine, more than 150 internationalbrands have left Russia. The Russian economy was not crippled at all. Thesecompanies are not closed, but sold to Russian business. Reputable internationalbrands have paid employees four to seven transitional salaries.Moreover, the departure of Western brands has given impetus to Russian business,many entrepreneurs talk about this. Huge domestic markets opened up overnight inRussia.But the quality of the products is now in question. The press discusses, forexample, that the Russian IKEA can be bought by Hoff, known for its extremely lowrequirements for its furniture. Cars in Russia are now assembled according to lowenvironmental standards and without airbags. Samsung puts locks on Russian SIMcards in smartphones, so illegally imported mobile phones must be speciallyhacked. Against the backdrop of Orwell, the wonderful anti-utopia "TheDay of the Oprichnik" was somehow forgotten. There, the tragedy and at the sametime the comicality of what is happening now in Russia is more accurately shown,and the book is written on Russian material. In 2006, Sorokin was able to predicta lot about 2022.Much has already been said about the similarities between the Putin regime andfascism, but we have something to add. He was detained as anaccomplice in a series of murders and the creator of Nazi underground financingschemes in which hundreds of millions of rubles were spinning.Similar ideas settled in the head of Vladimir Putin. It is sincerelyincomprehensible to him that the history of mankind has dozens of differentcivilizations, that it did not begin and (everyone very much hopes for this!)Will not end with his presidential term. In ancient Egypt, the pharaohs couldforce almost the entire adult population of the country to build pyramids,decades for each. The owner of the Kremlin has his own trick - he can destroy allof humanity, and does not hesitate to threaten it.Thin iceOn June 14, the police came to the Moscow office of Open Space after a call fromprovocateurs from the pro-Kremlin movement SERB. At that time there was anexhibition of drawings of political prisoners. The security forces seized thebanner, documents, anti-war stickers and works from the exhibition. The policevisit was motivated by a check on a possible crime under a criminal article ondiscrediting the actions of the Russian military or an offense under anadministrative article on propaganda of non-traditional values among minors. Then two searches took place in Moscowin people associated with the "Open Space". Itis not yet clear what kind of criminal case we are talking about, in one the copstalked about hooliganism, in the other - for some reason about vandalism. Nothingwas seized during the two searches. The police also came to the St. Petersburgoffice of Open Space, but left without breaking the door."Open Space" in Moscow and St. Petersburg has repeatedly provided anarchists witha venue for events. Now, at a difficult moment for them, support them - forexample, you can make a donation. It is rather paradoxical that the organizationof social centers is one of the few activities possible for anarchists in Russiaagainst the backdrop of numerous prohibitions. But yes, we must remember that theice under our feet is thin, it can fly at any moment and for anything.Abroad: Echoes of Russian RepressionsLeaving Russia hastily, many "run" to Georgia and Armenia, but we must rememberthat it is not always possible to hide there. The Armenian authorities are notinterested in a quarrel with the Kremlin due to foreign policy alignments. Nowthe local police are pursuing (possibly for subsequent extradition to Russia)stand-up actress Tatyana Shchukina, who left because of her opposition activitiesand anti-war stance. So far, Tatyana is accused of bodily harm to a man she hasnever heard of. This significantly complicates the departure from Armenia andobtaining political asylum in other countries.And at the border point between Georgia and Russia , blogger Insa Lander is stucktrying to escape from a delusional criminal case on "assistance to terrorism"."International terrorism" at the beginning of this century turned into a kind ofglobal bugbear. Therefore, the Georgian authorities refuse to let a person withsuch an accusation, even if it is frankly sucked out of the finger by theRussian special services.Well, that's all for today!
