In recent years we have been living in an environment of successive and mutually
reinforcing crises, created by the capitalist-state system itself, which thencomes to manage them to its advantage. --- The latest link in this chain is theprice race of the so-called "energy and inflationary crisis", which we experiencethrough electricity, gas and heating oil bills, supermarket receipts, fuel pricestraffic and the overall rising cost of living, to once again line the pockets ofthe bosses. --- The daily revaluations in all basic items of living and inenergy, state staffs have attempted to present them as a result of the ongoingwar in Ukraine and the "Western camp's" economic and energy disengagementmovement from Russia. --- But the price hikes, as we all know, started lastsummer 2021. And it is not only the result of the increase in energy prices butalso the inflation that the Western nations themselves predicted when they werecutting money and creating debt bubbles for the subsidy of businesses in the lasttwo years of the lockdowns. As well as the increase in profit sought by all parts of the capital, whetherthey had losses or surplus profits during the lockdowns (energy, industrial, shipping, commercial, transport, supply chain, logistics, high technologies,etc.). The war in Ukraine on the one hand introduces new parameters (such as the"food crisis", which is already announced for the fall) and on the other itescalates, extends and accelerates processes that had started before the Russianinvasion. We should also not lose sight of the huge amount of money flowing into thegovernment coffers themselves from the take-off of prices. Government revenuefrom levies on so-called 'indirect taxes' (government levies on fuel, VAT onenergy bills and on all products) has skyrocketed to be channeled into newequipment programmes, more cops, vehicles and new police forces (such asuniversity police), our expanding electronic databases and digital audit. For allthis there are many billions of euros and plenty of "fiscal space". Equally, wemust not forget the fees that the state and energy groups have imposed on ourelectricity bills, to finance the so-called "green energy transition", i.e. thedestructive ones for the mountains,The crises we have been experiencing in the last fifteen years, since the"financial crisis" of 2007-08, which was again paid for by the social base tosave the banks, are not passing phenomena that we will face with "good humor",with "patience" , with the crumbs of government benefits or the ridiculousincrease in basic salary nor situations that we cannot understand and overcome.Capitalism is reorganizing itself through its crises at the same time as itlaunches a fierce assault on our lives and social relations. "Asymmetricalthreats" and "invisible enemies" constantly re-emerge perpetuating "emergency" asa method of governance. From the "anti-terrorist" crusades and constant borderwar against immigrants presented as "For the system, dealing with its crises is translated as a pursuit of increasedprofitability, as an intensity of labor exploitation, poverty, social exclusionsand death politics against the "surplus" and "unnecessary". This is not anaccident or an aberration but the very nature of capitalism. The expanding crushand suffocation of everyday life, the spreading of fear and the cultivation offaith in all kinds of "experts", discipline and obedience, militarization and themilitarization of cities, digital control, repression and calls for " nationalunity" so that "we all put our backs", compose the image of a modern dystopia. On the contrary, it is worth exploring the possibilities of unguarded collectiveand individual resistances, social self-organization and solidarity. To standinsubordinate in their (always peaceful) wars, disobedient in their (alwayswarlike) peace. To oppose any false ethnic/racial/religious/gender/health dividesand to stand side by side against the climate of futility and defeatism they seekto impose. To make it clear that we are not cogs of the capitalist machine, weare not pawns in the orders of the states, we are not expendable or surpluspopulations in the accounting of the powers, we do not accept to be recorded inlists of war purges or social euthanasia. After all, "who can say if one day we will reach the classless society... (wewould add equally, extreme and powerless). There's no way to find out unless wetry. Knowing the world and changing it are the same thing. Changing the world andchanging ourselves are the same thing."LET'S GIVE RAGE A WAYSTRUGGLES INDIVIDUABLE REBELS DUOIN SUPERMARKETS, PAYMENT REFUSALSWAR ON THE WAR OF STATES-BOSSESbarrio negroresistance, self-organization, solidarity initiativefrom Perama, Drapetsona, Keratsini, Nicebarrionegro@espiv.net*barrio negro we are a newly founded initiative of resistance, self-organization,solidarity, comrades/equals from Perama, Drapetsona, Keratsini, Nice.
