another electoral circus, this time with even more airs of spectacle, in the
midst of a still very serious scenario of hunger, misery and violence against the
oppressed classes. With the machine in their favor, Bolsonaro and the Military,
in addition to focusing on the electoral game, maintain a mobilized and violent
base of supporters, as demonstrated by the acts of September 7 and recent
episodes. ---- Meanwhile, a broad political front headed by Lula and Alckmin
calls for a conciliation of classes even further back than in recent periods.
This movement was represented by the pro-democracy letters, articulated by the
great employers' organizations, such as Fiesp and Febraban, the most aristocratic
sectors linked to USP and other entities, and with broad support from the great
media companies, which imposed a defeat to the coup of Bolsonaro and the
Military, who were forced to retreat. This demonstrated that the majority of the
bourgeois class is against any type of action that could threaten the
institutionality that favors them. This more traditional right, which in 2018
swelled Bolsonarist ranks, in the current context is convinced that it will have
to govern with Lula and Alckmin, to correct the route of big capital in the next
period.

Despite this immediate diagnosis, we cannot minimize the risks that still present
themselves, with the extreme right growing among police and military, CACs,
ruralists, religious and sectors of the petty bourgeoisie, a scenario that can
manifest itself in violent actions by small groups of radicalized individuals,
with their fascist project. It is urgent at this moment to bet on combativeness
through direct action and self-defense, but for a good part of the left, the best
thing is not to raise the tone so as not to scare those above during the
elections. That is why there was no response to the Bolsonarista acts of
September 7: the Grito dos Excluídos was emptied, as well as the acts of
September 10, which took on a tone much more of an electoral campaign than of
protest, without even having been summoned. by the trade union centrals, which
consequently did not gather crowds.

As organized anarchists, as revolutionaries, we reinforce that the electoral
route - whether as a critical vote, anti-fascist or any strategic vote
argumentation - will not make the real transformations that the oppressed classes
really need! In this specific juncture, neither will it be able to defeat the
extreme right, which is already impregnated in the social fabric and will
continue to do so for the next few years, if there is not a decisive
confrontation and the construction of a field that breaks with the hegemonic
strategy of the Brazilian left. in recent years, which proposes the centrality in
the conciliation of classes through the internal dispute of bourgeois
institutions. Without popular movements fighting radically, in a context in which
the PT, if it wins, will not have a favorable international economic situation,
there will be no advance for those from below - and it is quite likely that the
far right will return. to win the sympathy of people indignant with the farce of
the Democratic State of Law, which maintains this system of exploitation and
oppression. We remember that it was the clashes against the right on the streets,
in 2020, that put Bolsonarism on the ropes and allowed some setbacks in the
authoritarian project of bozo and milicos.

These elections are further proof that centrality at the polls is an obstacle to
popular struggles and the transformation of society! It is necessary to bet on
direct daily action, and on the construction of a Front of Oppressed Classes that
breaks with reformism and unites the agendas of social movements taking into
account their needs and not what is best for the election of the shift
politician, to advance in profound changes that can defeat the bourgeoisie and
build People's Power!
