The Reta Sucialisimu o Barbaria network, which brings together revolutionary
activists in Corsica, carried out its first public action on July 14 in Bastia.They present their orientations to us. ---- Libertarian alternative: Can you comeback to the formation of the network? ---- Reta Sucialisimu o Barbaria network:Initially, the idea of this network emerged from an observation shared by twoorganizations, A Manca (organization linked to the NPA, editor's note) and theGhjuventù Cumunista Cismontinca (Haute-Corse) . Activists started from the commonobservation that too many people convinced of the idea of a break with capitalismin Corsica had no collective framework to act and reflect. They were joined byunorganized individuals committed to the idea of building this network.In addition, fights carried out recently by a part of Corsican youth(environment, feminism, LGBTQIA+, anti-fascism) show that there is an objectiveneed to federate all these legitimate fights in a very flexible and democraticway, within the framework of the radical transformation of society. This networkis therefore made up of people who may or may not be organized elsewhere.To individually join the network, all you have to do is agree with its charter.The strategic plumb line is the construction of a self-managing and democraticsocialism as the only alternative to capitalist barbarism. It is also a networkthat is fully in line with the struggle of the Corsican people for their right toself-determination.The network is very flexible in its operation because it is neither a party, nora movement, nor a collective of organizations. To maintain its coherence, thenetwork is built around people who agree with the principles of its charter,principles which are not negotiable.What actions are you going to or have you put in place?The network's first campaign, which ran throughout July, focused on anti-fascism.Other mobilizations will follow according to the choices of the members whoanimate it. Local actions on various subjects are already planned for the startof the school year. The network also intends to animate sessions of reflectionand exchanges on various subjects (Corsican question, inclusive citizenship,etc.). Actions must also be structured around essential time for reflection.What do you think of the current sequence which opened with the assassination ofYvan Colonna, in particular concerning the autonomy of the island?The assassination of Yvan Colonna acted as the catalyst for all the discontentthat runs through Corsican youth and generated a determined popular movement.There was both a demand for justice in relation to this crime, but also a verystrong demand for the democratic demands of the Corsican people to be taken intoaccount. The autonomist power asked the popular movement for a break to allowtime for negotiation with the French state.
