What kind of "consciousness" is that imposed by aregime? How conscious is a person who simply reproduces without critical thinkingand his own opinion what others taught him? How "his" is the ideology andreligion thatwas he taught to believe?As a first step for the imposition of consciousness by the state and capital isconsolidationof national ideology and religion through the education system. In everycapitalist country-state, one is taught the superiority of one's own nation over theothers as well as the superiority of his own dominant religion. In this way the"foreigner" (in relation to one's own nation) and "other religion" are counted asenemies without of coursebourgeois ideology makes it clear to us what we really have to separate. Afterall, the imposed onesideologies are entrenched as unsubstantiated doctrines that cannot give realanswers. Here are some of our well-known examples:parades, a fascist institution established in Greece by the dictator Metaxas,copying Hitler's parades, is such an exercise. The national holidays, thenational anthems, are also practice exercises in ideological propaganda. THEdaily morning prayer, church services, the same. Whether you want it or not, feedon itsystemic ideology, you reproduce it willfully and if you react, they hit you withglobes andchemically!The school is a vestibule for the entry of young people into the working jungle.Wheremany work and produce wealth but few reap it. The schooleducates so that young men and women can smoothly integrate into this barbaricreality without resisting it. It is a miniature of this barbarianeveryday life that reproduces all its oppressions: absences, punishments,breaks for rest and then back to work, the whole way schools workit is a form of education not for the sake of knowledge, but for the passiveacceptance of itdominant ideology and the dominant system.Inevitably, to keep the rich richer and the poor poorerour system wants slaves and even obedient slaves, slaves who do not resist. forthis is why they fear student struggles against the oppression of school cells.They are afraid of occupations, they are afraid of collectivization and thestruggle of the students,they are afraid of riots, they are afraid of demonstrations and roadblocks, theyare afraid ofresistances. And what they do, apart from scaring you to cover their own fear, isto convince you that "it doesn't make sense", that "the world doesn't change",that "everything is in vain". But, even through the history they teach us, weshould have known: if thepeoples of the world believed that "all is in vain" no acquisition of many thatwe havetoday it would never have been won by struggles and revolts, claims and revolutions.We always believe and support that no struggle is in vain and that it isclearly in our hand to overthrow this society of inequalities, injustice,of exploitation, of unfreedom, in order to build, on the ruins of thisworld, a new society. A society where wealth will be shared equally. A society thatit will not be controlled by states but will be autonomous, with theparticipation of everyone in receiving thedecisions. A society of freedom without rich and poor, without unhappy andoutcasts, without exploiters and exploited.The new generation will again have to enter the battle of struggles,collectivization andorganization. He should believe that he can live in a better world that he willmade by itself and not by the authorities and the parties that manage it. In thisnew generation, inevery male and female student, we extend a call for competition andcollective cooperation, to plan the new brilliant victories of the social andof coming class struggles, against poverty and precision, against war andimperialism, against the state and capitalism.Students have ideals and should not bury them under the dictates of thosethey claim (to serve their interests) that "the world does not change". Withstruggles and the occupations within the schools, as well as with theorganization in the anarchistmovement, new beautiful days will dawn, new struggles, new victories. For theoverthrow and theSocial Revolution that the peoples of the whole world so need.
