Hi all! Today is Sunday, October 16th and we continue our weekly podcast "Trends

of Order and Chaos". This is episode 76. So what have we seen and thought aboutthis week? ---- 1. The next stage of the war ---- In the last six months, it isdifficult not to start the review with the news of the war. It seems that afterthe successful Ukrainian counter-offensive and the blowing up of the Crimeanbridge, this very war began a new stage. And it's even worse than before. Nowthese are actually attempts to "bomb the enemy into the Stone Age." First of all,of course, we are talking about massive Russian strikes on Ukrainian civilianinfrastructure, especially on power plants. Electricity is the blood of humancivilization in the 21st century, try to imagine life without electricity. Here, residents of many Ukrainian cities now represent this very well. The destructionof ordinary urban facilities just to make life worse for Ukrainians looksespecially cynical against the backdrop of official statements by the Kremlinthat it is going to "save" these same Ukrainians from Nazism. But any war is an endless spiral of escalation, and the Ukrainian army respondsto Russia in the same coin. On Friday evening rockets flew over Belgorod'selectrical substation, and not for the first time. By the way, the day before, anammunition depot was shelled in the same area - three National Guardsmen died andsome were seriously injured there.Could the Russian jingoistic patriots on February 24 imagine that already inOctober on the "territory of the Russian Federation" itself, the watchdogs of thePutin regime would die from Ukrainian strikes? Hardly.Interestingly, there is no special reaction from the Russian authorities to allthis. Unless the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed "to open a criminal case on the fact of the shelling of the territoryof the Belgorod region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine." This, of course, looksvery creepy. Hello, Bastrykin, the war is on, here every day somewhere they fireat something and kill someone! Come on, open a criminal case for every killed andwounded soldier of the Russian army even then. Maybe the investigators willdigress from the political repressions inside Russia. But in general, there is afeeling that Bastrykin's "opening a criminal case" is just a reflex reaction toany external stimuli. Probably, even when he himself will be tried for crimesagainst humanity, even then he will instruct himself to "bring up a criminal case."2. Russia as a kamikaze droneSo, the bridge is being blown up, the border areas are being shelled, and whatabout the Kremlin, and the Kremlin somehow does not really draw public attentionto this. Why, in principle, is clear: the so-called "Russian Federation" isobviously losing the war. The Ukrainian army is getting stronger every week, because it is supplied by almost the whole world and it has a high motivation. The Russian army is weaker every week, because it has no motivation, and it issupplied only by Belarus and Iran - and they are afraid to admit it openly. It is very symbolic that Iran is supplying the Russian army with kamikaze combatdrones under the code name Shahid-136. Already in Russia, they are renamed"Geran-2", apparently, "Shahid" evokes some bad associations. So, the politicalregime of modern Russia resembles such a shahid drone. After all, what is a"drone" - it is an unmanned, unmanned aerial vehicle. Well, the "drone-kamikaze",respectively, is a drone that can perform only one task - to blow something up.In the process of completing this task, the drone itself dies.So the Putin regime is now "unmanned". We doubt that even Putin himself now hasmuch control over what is happening: the System works on its own, sinking furtherand further into destruction and chaos. This system is made up of an all-powerfuland corrupt FSB, billionaires clinging to the state trough, cynical and stupidgenerals, and, moreover, of indifferent citizens who "are not interested inpolitics." She works in her own logic, guided by short-term considerations suchas "if only they don't put me in jail now." It would seem obvious that no"victory" in the war with Ukraine can be expected, and it will only get worse. But no one controls the system, and its cogs do not know how to take theinitiative. So this kamikaze drone is heading straight for its goal: its owndestruction.Desperate grasping at straws called "partial mobilization" here, of course, willnot help in any way, but will only speed up this process. The mobilization of thehomeless and mass roundups of young men in Moscow and St. Petersburg in no wayincrease confidence in the authorities, but only reinforce the very "chaostrends". The same is true with the recruitment of prisoners from the colonies forthe war. By the way, it is interesting that those convicted under "political"articles are not recruited on principle. Too smart cannon fodder The system doesnot need. There are, however, pluses in the events around the diving kamikaze drone. Takeat least the wonderful story of the electric welder Levanov from Chelyabinsk. After the administration gave 15 workers to be slaughtered in the militaryregistration and enlistment office, Levanov realized that "in my eyes, thisemployer is just an enemy to me." And he quit, writing in a statement "Burn youand your Tsar Putin in hell."3. Train to NurembergWhether Putin and his henchmen will burn in hell, and whether that same hellexists - we, anarchists, are not religious people - we do not know. But lately, more and more people are talking about the "new Nuremberg Tribunal", whichinevitably awaits those who unleashed aggression against Ukraine. So, of course, we very much support the trial of all these ghouls. The onlyquestion is "who are the judges?"At the first Nuremberg 75 years ago, the winners judged - the USSR, the USA,Great Britain, etc. As we now know, these states themselves have committed manycrimes before and subsequently. Has it gotten better now? Hardly. There is littlehope for international structures like the UN, and states and large corporations, even in wars and tribunals, pursue their own interests, which do not coincidewith the interests of people. It's even kind of embarrassing to talk about Elon Musk on our podcast, but here'sa good example. As you know, his company SpaceX was very much PR on the fact thatit provided the Armed Forces with satellite Internet (StarLink). Reliablecommunications helped a lot in the recent counter-offensive. But the other day,Musk said that the freebie was over and now let Ukraine or the Pentagon pay himat the full rate. That is, the supply of Starlinks to Ukraine is not adisinterested "fight for freedom against empires", but a well-thought-outadvertising campaign. Well, a test in harsh combat conditions at the same time.No wonder - businessmen want profits. But do you believe that the "elites" in theUS or Europe are concerned about the welfare of all living beings? It is unlikelythat they are concerned about strengthening their power. It is important, however, that in the countries of the conditional West there arestill relatively many mechanisms by which people can somehow influence thegovernment. And although the bourgeois democracies of the "golden billion" arenot our political ideal, we can at least try to make the upcoming trial ofRussian war criminals more objective. Make it so that it does not become a toolto consolidate the dominance of other criminals, but on the contrary: it givespeople in all countries of the world even more mechanisms to control their lives. Now it seems far and unlikely, but anarchists need to prepare for these eventsnow, develop their attitude, their demands and ways to implement theserequirements. This is what is called "political subjectivity". Ultimately, ourgoal is for the people themselves to become political subjects.4. Horizontal links in societyTo achieve this goal, people must be together. Just the movement "Spring" rolledout a call to the Russians to massively create house and district chat rooms. Andwhat they write resonates with us very much. See: "A strong society is organizedlocal communities, solidarity and mutual assistance. It is awareness and solutionof common problems. And chats can help with that!"Sounds very anarchist. And, in general, it is: this is Murray Bookchin's"libertarian municipalism" or "communalism" in its purest form. It's just thatthe word "anarchism" itself is not pronounced, but the meaning is the same.Communicate, create and maintain social connections, do not limit yourself toreading channels and news sites - and even listening to podcasts like ours. Powercan only be defeated together. But don't forget safety. For large group chats where not everyone knows eachother personally, Telegram is really good because it allows you to hide yourphone number behind a pseudonym. Such chat rooms are analogous to public meetingsin the squares. But if you are going to discuss something very sensitive orillegal in a narrow circle, it is better to use Signal. In Signal, unlikeTelegram, there is a normal end-to-end encryption, so even if the owners of theSignal servers really want to, then purely technically they will not be able toleak your correspondence to anyone. Telegram server owners can easily. And giventheir Russian roots, putting pressure on them is likely to be very easy. Telegramis known to have shared user data with the police in different countries.Yes, you can't hide the phone number to which your account is registered inSignal, but if you trust your interlocutors, then this is not necessary. Inaddition, in Russia you can still buy a one-time SIM card for an anonymousperson, register a Signal for it and throw it away. Another option: ask a friendfrom another country to register an account for you on a foreign number. Ingeneral, be careful!5. Everything will be BelarusPreviously, there was a popular opinion that all repressive mechanisms were beingtested in Belarus, which were then introduced in Russia. Well, just the other dayin Belarus they announced either a counter-terrorist operation regime, or aregime of increased terrorist threat: officials are confused in definitions. Onething is clear: this is actually martial law. And indeed, it is possible thatsomething similar will soon await at least the border Russian regions. But there is another point of interest. If you think about it, why did Lukashenkareally just not call it all "martial law", but continues to mutter about somekind of "terrorism"? Yes, because he did not come up with it, and not even Putin.Terms like "counter-terrorist operation", "war on terrorism" and so on have longbeen used by other states (including supposedly "democratic" ones). They are usedjust not to call war a war, to attack civil liberties and human rights. All this"anti-terrorism" is strongly associated with mass surveillance, torture, kidnapping and killing of innocent people. It is very advantageous to call youropponent not an adversary, but a terrorist. The authorities of Nazi Germany alsocalled members of the armed Resistance groups terrorists. So, yes, Lukashenka istalking about a "counter-terrorist operation", Putin's generals are talking aboutsome kind of "Ukrainian militants" (and not about "soldiers"). But they are notpioneers here, they had good teachers.Well, since we are talking about Belarus. Our old comrade Igor Olinevich, ananarcho-partisan, who was imprisoned for 20 years for participating in theBelarusian uprising, went on a hunger strike. He is now on a prison regime, andadditionally placed in a punishment cell. The support group writes: "There is noconnection with Igor, but both his mother and friends hope that he is not broken. For Igor, wrestling is a norm and a necessity. Rather, he should have beenworried if he had not tried to fight at least somehow.(By the way, the picture for this episode of "Trends of Order and Chaos" is adrawing by Sergei Romanov, another captured Belarusian anarchist partisan). In Russia, more and more details about the detention of anarchists andanti-fascists in Tyumen are emerging. As always, nameless masked security forces, torture with electricity, bullying, indifferent doctors and lawyers byappointment. All six guys are now still in jail. And they are accused, of course,of participating in the so-called terrorist organization.I would like to finish with the phrase of the same Igor Olinevich support group. It applies to political prisoners in both countries:"What can be done to help? Overthrow the regime."Well, that's all for today! We remind you that in "Trends of Order and Chaos" theparticipants of "Autonomous Action" give anarchist assessments of current events.Listen to us on YouTube, SoundCloud and other platforms, visit our websiteavtonom.org, subscribe to our e-mail newsletter!Issue No. 76 prepared by Moneyhttps://avtonom.org/news/dron-kamikadze-trendy-poryadka-i-haosa-epizod-76-16-oktyabrya_________________________________________A - I N F O S  N E W S  S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.ca
