Order and Chaos". This is the 73rd episode. Here are the highlights on the agenda
for the past week. ---- Sabotage of mobilization ---- It is clear that the main
news of the week is the so-called "partial mobilization" announced by the
so-called President Putin. In fact, there is nothing "partial" in it, the
population of Russia is simply given to the Ministry of Defense for feeding - as
much as the ministry wants to take for cannon fodder, it will take as much.
First, he will take away the jingoistic patriots, then the apolitical townsfolk,
and then he will come for the remaining intellectuals, even if they are of
limited use.
Of course, this is a gesture of desperation on Putin's part: he demonstrates that
a conventional quick war in Ukraine has finally failed, Russia has run out of a
more or less professional army, there is no air supremacy, modern weapons are
running out, all that remains is to fill up the front line with the corpses of
random men from different parts of the country. And of course, this mobilization
will not strategically change anything in the war (unless it brings the end of
Putin closer). On the one hand, this is good - if the Russian under-empire began
to win confidently, in the long run it would be much worse for everyone who lives
on the territory of Ukraine (and Russia too). But in the short term, mobilization
will bring numerous sufferings to the Russians who fell under this skating rink -
like any senseless imperial meat grinder.

Let's start with the fact that the mobilized will lose their jobs (employment
contracts, it seems, are simply suspended, but it is clear that in reality no one
will wait for the potential 200th in the office), and we will end with the
obvious risks of cannon fodder on the front line. You can return from the army
fighting in Ukraine either in a coffin, or in a hospital with a serious wound, or
desert, which in this case is a criminal offense with a real term. That is, even
from a purely pragmatic point of view, it is much more profitable to cut down,
even after serving the summons, and in the worst case, receive a fine or a condition.

However, for now, queues of either volunteers or fearless idiots are still lining
up. The behavior of those who are now ready to dutifully go to the draft board,
although so far only an administrative punishment for not appearing (and many
guides have come out about this) is reminiscent of an old Soviet joke where they
announced at the plant: "Tomorrow we will hang everyone on the territory of the
plant! Do you have any questions?" and in response, a timid voice from the
audience, "Do you bring a rope and soap with you, or will they be given out at
the trade union?" It is especially amusing in this regard that in Moscow one of
the mobilization points was opened in the Darwin Museum - apparently in order to
immediately present the Darwin Prize. As Hannah Arendt wrote, "these people were
not villains, perverts or sadists: no, the worst thing is that they were and
remain terribly, terribly normal."

We have no doubt that the listeners of "Trends of Order and Chaos" do not aspire
to Putin's imperialist war of conquest. What should they do if they are under the
threat of falling under "mobilization", it is also "grave"? There is only one
answer: to sabotage it in every possible way. Now, in September 2022, the real
"Day of the Deserter" is coming.

Do not go to military enlistment offices, do not accept subpoenas, do not live by
registration. Do not tell any authorities where you are: let them look for you.
You can apply for Alternative Service (ACS) regardless of your real beliefs.
Don't go to work, take sick leave. In general, feel free to break their laws:
your life is more important.

Another option is to flee the country. For example, Germany seems to be ready to
accept deserters from the Russian army. Here everyone decides for himself, but it
is clear that not everyone has the resources and desire for this. In addition,
there is a chance of being detained when crossing the border.

Finally, remember: solidarity, mutual assistance and activity. If everyone just
sits in the cellars or leaves for Georgia, the collective Putin will rule
forever. Participate in actions against mobilization. On September 24, anti-war
street protests around the country were not yet too numerous. But there seems to
be some radicalization - in Moscow, the detainees were beaten off from the
police. In any case, it is better to sit down for 15 days or even 10 years than
you will be torn to shreds by a Haimars shell or shot by bandits from Kadyrov's
detachments somewhere near Bakhmut.

It is collective actions that can affect the situation in the country - not
individual acts of their own salvation. Actions by all available means. Sitting
on the sidelines now, few will succeed. Even the military registration and
enlistment offices from the day the mobilization was announced began to burn more
often, and the more of them burn down, the slower the mobilization will go. The
night of the deserter begins. But be careful: it is important that at least a
certain number of anarchists are still in Russia and at large when the protests
become really numerous.

Either way: sabotage the mobilization, throw sand at the gears of the death
machine. Even if you just convince a couple of acquaintances not to take
subpoenas, this is already an important act.

Will be worse
Russia is losing the ongoing conventional (non-nuclear) war. Yes, and a backward
half-de-industrialized country cannot fight against almost the whole world, even
if it has a very large territory (in general, this rather interferes). Therefore,
if everything continues as it is now, then the future of Russia is: capitulation,
reparations, poverty and quite likely disintegration (voluntarily or not). It
will be hard for people on the territory of the current Russian Federation, but
at least they will have a chance to rebuild their societies from scratch.
Anti-authoritarian forces can also play a significant role in this, and it does
not matter whether they are called "anarchists" or some kind of "cloud democrats."

There is another outcome: frightened by the prospect of repeating the fate of
Gaddafi, Putin launches nuclear weapons (provided that they are not yet
completely rusted). It is difficult to predict the further development of events,
but this is clearly not limited to the territory of Ukraine. So the option is
much sadder than the previous one. How to prevent it and whether grassroots
political movements can somehow influence this is an open question. In any case,
nuclear weapons are not a very good idea in principle, and nuclear weapons in the
hands of a grandfather in the Kremlin who has gone crazy are a complete failure.

The war is spreading
As it always happens, under the guise of a war in Ukraine, neighboring countries
are also solving their problems by military force. Here Tajikistan is exchanging
fire with Kyrgyzstan on the border, but Azerbaijan crosses the border with
Armenia and occupies new territories, and all this with corpses and wounded. The
attention of the world is riveted to Ukraine - why not take advantage of it? This
is how the world wars started. We must not forget this and at least pay attention
to such petty imperialists like Azerbaijan. After all, everything is known in
comparison: Russia, compared to the United States, is also a small-scale
imperialist, but nevertheless, this does not mean that its crimes should be
turned a blind eye (even if we are told so by Noam Chomsky and Roger Waters, who
are reliably protected from FSB stun guns American and British passports).

But disobedience also spreads. There is an uprising in Iran again, which has a
chance to become successful, which, of course, we wish him. Popular riots began
after the murder of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini by the vice police for "wrong hijab".

A young woman came to visit relatives from Iraqi Kurdistan and was beaten to
death at the police station where she was taken after being detained. The police
themselves claim that she simply became ill with her heart. Mahsa Amini died in
hospital on 16 September. The fire of discontent that had been smoldering all
this time received a new spark of anger and quickly spread to different
provinces. In multinational Iran, not only the Kurds, but also other tribes and
peoples have risen. Women began to throw their hijabs into the fire in protest,
and soon these fires began to spontaneously appear on the streets. And the crowds
of protesters are getting bigger and bigger. The police opened fire to kill,
there are dead. This only radicalized the protesters. At first they attacked the
police with stones, sticks and simply with their bare hands, now not only knives
are used. The Bakhtiyar tribe, which announced their joining the rebels, took to
the streets with their weapons. Residents of Oshnavie seized the police station
and armed themselves from its warehouse, and also broke down the doors in the
prison and freed the prisoners. In Shiraz, a colonel of the local riot police
went over to the side of the protesters. Events are developing rapidly and the
protesters now have only one way - to achieve victory, in case of defeat,
repression will be cruel. In general, sooner or later any protests against the
dictatorship expand and become radicalized.

By the way, about life in Iran during the Islamic revolution and after it, there
is an excellent cartoon "Persepolis", based on a comic book by Iranian artist
Marzhan Satrapi.

Who will ban, that sucker
On September 19, Roskomnadzor blocked the 38th mirror of the St. Petersburg

All in all, generating funny subdomains and seeing them on the RKN block list is
becoming almost national fun. In the end, it's still impossible to use the
Internet normally without a VPN or Tor in Russia, so who cares that censors from
