They work us harder, on fewer ‘guaranteed' hours and with worse terms and
conditions. The ‘social wage', that's education (for what it's worth), waterservices, bin collections, street lighting, our fire service and our healthservice (fuck the police) have suffered attack after attack after attack. ---- A‘reserve army of labour' (the unemployed, under-employed and the socalledeconomically inactive) is kept on a rapidly diminishing subsistence to keep thoseof us in work afraid. Afraid we can be replaced. Afraid we can be sacked if wehave the temerity to complain. Afraid we can be scabbed on if, worse still, weorganise.Government hands out a pittance (stolenfrom us in our taxes and from countlessmillions globally through centuries ofexploitation and colonial extraction), asticking plaster on a wound that will killmore of us - children in poverty, the 'fuelpoor' elderly, the 'precarious', the poorlypaid, those of us on benefits. Rocketingfood, gas, oil and electricity bills kill.It is however no crisis - profits are up.What exactly are these profits? Profits arethe wealth that we, the working class, create and have stolen from us by therich, the owners of the land, the housing, the means of production. We produce allthe wealth of society - they produce fuckall. We are essential. They are parasites. Onlygood at doing what parasites do - suckingthe life out of their host. They willcontinue to get wealthier, fat and drunkon their privilege while the rest of ussuffer and the planet is pushed tobreaking point.Let us make no mistake, capitalism, thesystem that benefits these alreadywealthy robbing bastards, is workingperfectly. And yet we are far from powerless. It istime to organise!Organise: anarcho-syndicalists in Ireland---------------------------------------------Cost of Capitalism CrisisRallies were held across Britain and Irelandon Saturday, 1 October to protest againstthe ‘cost of living crisis', the current termfavoured in the mass media and slavishlyparroted by the left in the latest attemptsto rouse us from our slumbers and choosethe ‘radical alternative' come electiontime. In Omagh, Belfast and Derry there weresizeable gatherings, a lot of anger andfrustration but not many calls for directaction. Organise! members were inattendance in Derry and Belfast. In Belfastat least the awful sound system spared usfrom having to listen to calls for Stormontto get back to work alongside complaintsthat all it ever did was implement neoliberalattacks when it was working! The so-called cost of living crisis has notbeen caused by a few profiteering energygiants, British imperialism, the protocol,Steven Nolan or Keir Starmer's haircut. Itis the process and product of globalcapitalism. It's a campaign against capitalwe need, not a price freeze, subventionfrom Stormont, or a ‘socialist' in charge. We understand that all of us need helpnow but we can only do that throughcollective direct action in the workplaceand in our communities.https://organiseanarchistsireland.com/black-starhttps://organiseanarchistsireland.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/BlackStar20.pub_.pdf_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.caSPREAD THE INFORMATION
