From 16th to 18th On September 1st of this year we held a face-to-face meeting
with our comrades in Leipzig instead of our classic content-focused congress, which primarily served to get to know each other and deepen our relationships. There we cooked and chatted together, but there were also intensive discussionson topics such as dealing with patriarchal structures and masculinity, digitalsecurity and the situation of interference in our local groups. Some of us alsoattended the “Psychotherapy Shortage” demonstration at Richard-Wagner-Platz,while the others got to know each other better in small groups. In the evening wewatched a documentary about the social protests in Chile. Despite the ratherrelaxed demands on the weekend and the correspondingly less stringentpreparation, this face-to-face meeting was very important for our organization -not only in terms of content - but also for our cohesion. Many relatively newcomrades were able to get to know the faces behind the chat aliases in a relaxedatmosphere and left the meeting very motivated. We will take this positiveexperience with us, and in combination with our collected impressions at thesummer camp of the French comrades of the UCL, we will try to focus more ongetting to know each other in the future, for example through our own summer campin 2023.Last weekend, November 19th and 20th, 2022, the 7th federal congress of theanarcha-communist platform finally took place digitally. Delegates and comradesfrom all local groups came together to discuss the further construction of thefederation, to reflect on the structures created so far and to plan thedevelopment of work in the social struggles. On the first day of the congress, we focused, among other things, on thediscussion about the current development of the protests against the constantprice increases. Comrades from different cities shared their experiences anddiscussed how we can advance the protests against the crisis in our neighborhoodsand workplaces alongside our neighbors and colleagues and create realcountervailing power. We decided to make the previously rather selective exchangeon this issue more regular and intensive. We also found that it is necessary toupdate our situation analysis published in the summer based on the experiencesand observations that have now been made. We will do this over the next fewweeks. Finally, we want to create and publish a digital collection of usefulmaterials for local struggles against the crisis. We also used Saturday to reflect - separately in a discussion round for FLINTAsand Cis men - how the work on patriarchal dynamics in our federation is, whatanti-patriarchal work is already being done and how we are developing andimproving here be able.On the second day of the congress, the renewal of our federation-wide mandatesand the establishment of new goals for the coming six months were on the agenda. We determined that we want to continue working on the development of ourmanifesto, which should represent our common theoretical basis. We will also workon formulating our general strategy and in doing so will engage more closely withour European sister organisations. On both days, the continued growth of our federation was a focus of discussion. We decided to create lower-threshold materials, to set our relevant texts tomusic and to create more open offers such as cafes or hikes for interested peoplein our cities. There will also be some adjustments in public relations. All in all, it was two very intense days, and due to the online format, they werealways strenuous. Nevertheless, it was nice to get together with so many comrades- even if unfortunately only digitally. We are already looking forward to thenext congress, where we will meet again offline and where we can check to whatextent we have been able to implement the goals we have set ourselves. In anycase, we are excited about the next six months of work in the social struggles! What motivates us is that we are not alone. Here with us as well asinternationally there are comrades who, like us, fight for a better and freersociety, for anarchist communism. We were very pleased that we received numerousgreetings from friendly organizations. Two organizations from our closest European circles - the Union CommunisteLibertaire (UCL) from France, Belgium and French-speaking Switzerland and theAnarchist Communist Group (ACG) from Great Britain - conveyed their greetings"live" on Sunday morning. We document another greeting that reached us from theCoordinacion Anarquista Latinomaricana (CALA) here.“Comrades, the times ahead are not easy. The crises created by capitalism are affectingpeople in all parts of the world. Impoverishment, hunger, pandemics, risingliving costs and death fill the newspaper pages every day, and the owners ofpower and money benefit a little more from the misery of our people every day.Capitalism will not fail from its own weakness, and the crises that amplify thoseat the top threaten to destroy the planet before the system ends. There is noother way out for the future of humanity than a radical and profound exit fromcapitalism, which is destroying once and for all the very foundations thatperpetuate exploitation and violence. The audacity to dream of and to fight for a possible future for all is the greatfolly of which we are accused; the rebellion to join forces to build a future ofdignity and abundance is the crime we are being prosecuted for; the inability tocome to terms with the fact that at the moment of greatest prosperity in historythere are hungry and homeless people is the sickness of sensitivity from which weare meant to be healed. So we salute that boldness, and join with those who feel the pain and hardshipsof the world with affection and outrage, and choose the noblest of choices: todevote their lives to boldness, not accepting, not dwelling on failure to beoverwhelmed, to join hands and fight for socialism and freedom, knowing thatthere is no other way out and that our most important duty is the red and blackflag that we have inherited and that we will pass on to hold high and tight. For this reason, from the South of the world, we salute the Congress of thePlatform, our sister organisation, and we salute the audacity not to give up andto take our dreams, our methods, our way of waging political struggle to theheart of Europe. We hope that each comrade will find himself in everyone else's bodies, affectionsand struggles, that every problem will find a powerful solution, and that theCongress will identify the most correct ways to create a strong and effectiveorganization in the struggle against European imperialism , against the advanceof neoliberal terror and for a dignified life for our class.Lovingly accept our fraternal embrace, our fists raised beside yours and ourhearts also carrying within them a new world, a world that we will build togetherin every corner of this planet until freedom becomes a habit .”Here in Germany as well as internationally, organized anarchism needs to berebuilt and placed on a solid footing. To anchor it in the struggles of the hiredclass. This will not be an easy task and that is why now is the time to tackle ittogether. Let's do it!https://www.dieplattform.org/2022/11/30/7-foederationskongress-der-anarchakommunistischen-plattform-bundesweites-kennlerntreffen-in-leipzig_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.caSPREAD THE INFORMATION
